His aim was to create a more accurate English translation of the Holy Scriptures and make it free, useful and accessible to everyone.

The text of the Old Testament is based in the American Standard Version published in 1901.
This version has updated the ASV in vocabulary and spelling. It replaced archaic words with modern ones.
The text of the New Testament was translated from the New Testament in the original Greek according to the Byzantine/Majority Textform.
The Old Testament is composed of 39 books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi.
