Hearing Test for Android
saves tests only online - why? should be documented! use it offline + scrrenshot for keeping your health data private! paid version offers local saving, but, but this is a bit like blackmailing with privacy, sorry. the test itself is pretty accurate with bundled samsung earphones, but should be upside down - starting with no tone and tapping when you hear something. both issues prevent 5 stars, sorry.
Great just what I needed to cope with sudden unstable hearing loss after a heavy cold. Tells me I aam not imagining things and that the situation is improving. The makers could -on installation -collect data on user-profile and reasons. You could also offer link to cedible advice pages and other Apps. For example I used NHS pages and also bought an APP to check I could still sing in tune before going to choir!
Really good app. Tried it after being diagnosed to have mild hearing loss in one ear. Gave similar results to the one from the medical test. Only complaint being both my wife and I had mild pain in the ears after the test.
It's professional! There must be something wrong with my headset though, anything above 16k hz either produced no sound or a loud white noise (just an increment below no sound). EDIT: nope, I could hear another app play 18.4k hz, but it didn't work at first. Might still be my headset selectively working.
Amazing. Useless without internet though. I am mostly deaf in one ear, so I use the Accessibility feature to balance left/right. So every time I use it I have to undo the calibration. You could fix it, make the app ignore these settings while measuring, like it does with the volume (is ignored). Thanks!
Pretty much the same test they perform at the a diagnostic clinic. I think the results of this test is more accurate as long as you are in a VERY quiet room. Only problem was it couldn't find the earphone profile for my Note 5 in its database.
What sound is the one I'm listening for??!! Too damn confusing! Needs more instructions! It beeps and scratches constantly and doesn't tell me what I'm supposed to do!
I used this after getting a bout of tinnitus from taking NSAIDS. I stopped taking them and have been monitoring my hearing loss with this app. It's a great quantitative way to track my hearing recovery.
It's actually close to real deal. I know because I just came out of hospital where had my ears tested. Of course it's not super detailed but has key frequencies which is enough. Thumbs up
Used this with the bundled headphones I got in the phone box. Did a test on the same day as a proper medical one and only a small difference. So although obviously not 100% accurate it will give you an indication of hearing loss levels. I like the way it tests individual ears for each tone and pots it on a clear graph and that you can save and label tests.
I recently had some hearing loss and used this to track improvement after working with a ENT and getting some meds. This app is easy to use and let's you save multiple tests. I tried several apps; this was my favorite.
Very good tool. Must calibrate headphones first as with any audio tool. Otherwise you will get skewed data. Now if there was one to use you spouses voice to determine if you have selective hearing.
Very good app...will compare results with audiologist results tomorrow and update. It's as I suspected, hearing loss in my right ear at 6000hz, the frequency my tinnitus rings at
I loved it really, especially as I've been monitoring an improving condition, but gave it just 4 stars because of a pulsing white noise on some of the tones that one could mistake for audibility. Could be acoustics of the ear buds or something. Be careful to listen for a pure tone rather than a buzz.
Love it. My tinnitus is getting worse every few days and the app has proven the hearing loss in some frequencies. It enables me to track my hearing. Just what I needed.
Easy to use. Good to have historical record so you can refute accusations of increasing deafness from your nearest and dearest. The age-related and speech banana interpretations are particularly informative.
Aggravating that the data base is down so much. Otherwise pretty accurate.
Good tool, takes a couple of times before you know what to do, the white noise in the high ranges in the ear not being tested was a bit of a surprise and quite distracting but overall it has helped me to track the return of my hearing after a bad ear infection and burst ear drum
It would be nice if the tones had a 'wiggle' feature like professional software has. This helps to more accurately measure hearing with individuals who have tinnitus.
Not clinically valid, yet a quick method to put relative shape of pt hearing levels (20 - 20,00) in perspective. Very useful for field work to determine if and in what range intervention required.
Everything is fine ,but when sending print out only black page is coming out.
Great- I get wax build up sufficient to make candles. About every 10 years I have had a doctors cleaning. This app allows me to determine how well I've done. I keep a record using screen shots.
Simply superb. Saves time and money to undergo frequent hearing tests with audiologist especially during medication for sudden hearing loss.
I get my hearing checked annually for my work and this app is as accurate as the hearing booth. Very good as a guide.
Easy to use. The ability to compare test over time is very useful.
You just need to do a good customization and the results will be accurate! Very happy with it.
Very methodical and apt test. You first need to calibrate your headphones by a person assumed to have a normal hearing. With this reference calibration, the subject under test, takes the test. Very systematic test. Multiple calibrations are possible and reusable. Excellent, I give a 5 on 5.
Almost as accurate as audiometry tests. A free app can't get better than this.
I 'm deaf in my right. And it help me to my hearing more than other apps.
great, just found out that i've got mild hearing loss (25 -30 dB) in the low end bass area. the truth hurts
Fantastic app. A must have for people with a hearing problem.
Results match up with professional audiometry tests. Best free app for testing your hearing at home.
Accuracy lacking but one of the best and most accurate PT test app.
This hearing test app is great! It gives you a reference point by which you can start with, and then continue to use day after day to track your hearing.
Had to press buttons that were incorrect to move the test along
Excellent app had my ears tested at work and was told I didn't hear things at 4000hz Downloaded the app and other was spot on would happily recommend
Mine has bugs. It keeps jumping the test even though I am just pressing I can hear button. You can't go back and redo a frequency.
A really professional app with helpful feedback. I like the feedback on where you stand based on your age group and your percentile. It's the best app I've tried. And I've tried many.
I use it to keep track of how my hearing is deteriorating

Feels like a hearing test performed by a doctor. except instead of just asking you to push a button when you har a time in either ear it tests left and right separately and you push the button until you can no longer har the time. Then after your test it shows you a chart of where you stand with your hearing. This works best of you close your eyes because it shows one ear result while testing your other ear and is really ear to chart to make then match up, so of you want true results then close your eyes.
