"Steini und die Externsteine" ist die Kinder Edition der beliebten Externsteine App. Die Inhalte sind kindgerecht aufbereitet und produziert worden. Kinder entdecken gemeinsam mit Steini die Naturerlebnispfade an den Externsteinen.

Die Externsteine sind ein einzigartiges Natur- und Kulturdenkmal von europäischem Rang. Seit Jahrtausenden zieht diese Felsformation die Menschen an. Zahlreiche Spuren zeugen von der wechselvollen Geschichte des Monuments, wie etwa die mittelalterliche Grottenanlage und das Relief der Kreuzabnahme. Das umliegende Naturschutzgebiet ist Heimat für besonders seltene und schützenswerte Pflanzen- und Tierarten. Die Bedeutung dieses Ortes wurde 2004 mit der Aufnahme in das europäische Netzwerk "Natura 2000" bestätigt.

Die App führt Sie mit Hilfe des GPS Systems und individuellem Kartenmaterial durch diese einzigartige Natur- und Kulturlandschaft. Ausgehend vom Infozentrum an den Externsteine erwarten Sie auf drei facettenreichen Rundwanderwegen insgesamt 20 Erlebnisstationen.

Sobald Sie eine der Erlebnisstationen erreicht haben, können Sie vor Ort multimediale Informationen (Hörgeschichten, Bildergalerien, Videos und Animationen) abrufen.

Lassen Sie sich auf verständliche Art und Weise z.B. über die Entstehung der Externsteine, das Ökosystem Wald, Tier- und Pflanzenarten im Naturschutzgebiet oder die historische Nutzung der Landschaft informieren. Auf den abwechslungsreichen Routen gibt es so manches Unbekannte zu entdecken.

Die Naturerlebnispfade an den Externsteinen sind ein Projekt des Landesverbandes Lippe, gefördert von der Europäischen Union - Europäischer Fonds für regionale Entwicklung.

Das Projekt entstand unter Mitwirkung der Biologischen Station Lippe und der Schutzgemeinschaft Externsteine und mit freundlicher Unterstützung des Naturparks Teutoburger Wald / Eggegebirge.
