Moor in Bad Meinberg

Der GPS-Pfad im Staatsbad Meinberg ist in zwei Abschnitte geteilt: Der Moorpfad erschließt das Schwefelmoor „Stinkebrink“ und seine Umgebung. Die Moormeile dagegen verbindet den Moorpfad mit dem Stadtkern von Bad Meinberg, vorbei an einigen historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Am Moorpfad ist der Moorstich im Stinkebrink die erste Station. Dieses Moorgebiet verdankt seinen Namen dem schwefeligen Geruch, der besonders an warmen Tagen aus dem feuchten Boden emporsteigt. Hier wird der im Kurort Bad Meinberg verwendete Badetorf gefördert und nach Gebrauch wieder ins Moor eingebracht, damit er sich regenerieren kann. Auf diese Art und Weise kann das Moor nachhaltig genutzt und zugleich mit seiner Artenvielfalt bewahrt werden. Naturschutz wird auch am Rande des Moores betrieben. Zum Beispiel auf der angrenzenden Wiese, die von Galloway-Rindern beweidet wird, um die abwechslungsreiche Kulturlandschaft zu erhalten. Auch historisch birgt das Gebiet interessante Aspekte: Nicht weit vom Moor entfernt befindet sich die 1939 gegründete Siedlung „Moorlage“. Durch das Tal der Napte führt unser Weg in Richtung Bad Meinberg. Der Kurpark mit dem Brunnentempel und das traditionsreiche Hotel „Zum Stern“ mit dem angeschlossenen Stern-Gesundheitszentrum sind Teil des aktuellen Kurbetriebes, welcher sich ohne die Moorvorkommen im Stinkebrink nicht in seiner heutigen Form entwickelt hätte.

The GPS path in Staatsbad Meinberg is divided into two sections: the moor path opens up the sulfur Moor "Obscene Brink" and its surroundings.
