Die alte Kulturlandschaft im Bereich der Warburger Börde wird seit Jahrtausenden vom Ackerbau geprägt. Natürliche Lebensräume sucht man hier vergebens. Anders sieht es dagegen mit halbnatürlichen Lebensräumen aus. Sie präsentieren sich besonders artenreich in den Randbereichen der Börde und im Diemeltal. Die bedeutendsten Bereiche wurden deshalb als sogenannte „Fauna-Flora-Habitat“-Gebiete in das europäische Netzwerk „Natura 2000“ aufgenommen.

Auf dem rund sechseinhalb Kilometer langen GPS-Erlebnispfad können Sie einige dieser Lebensräume und ihre Bewohner hautnah erleben. Darüber hinaus erfahren Sie Wissenswertes zur Landschaftsgeschichte und blicken 250 Jahre zurück in die Zeit des Siebenjährigen Krieges, als die Hügel und Felder zwischen Ossendorf und Warburg von fast 40.000 kampfbereiten Soldaten bevölkert waren.

Begeben Sie sich also mit Hilfe Ihres Smartphones auf eine Entdeckungsreise, die zugleich auch eine Zeitreise ist.

The old cultural landscape in the field of Warburger flare is dominated by agriculture for millennia. Natural habitats are nowhere. The situation is different, however, with semi-natural habitats. They present themselves particularly rich in species at the edges of the flange and the Diemeltal. The most important areas were therefore "Natura 2000" included as a so-called "Fauna-Flora-Habitat" areas in the European network.
