Extended explanation:
Pomelo Reminder is NOT a common reminder. It is, instead, a context-based reminder.
You can associate reminders or to-do tasks to places (you'll be warned when you're close to that place), persons or situations. You can also associate more than one context to the same task.
Let's see an example.
You can create a context that correspond to one event as, for example, reaching your work place.
Then you can associate a set of tasks to that context as, for example, 'Send an email to John' or 'Give cutter back to Daisy'.
Physical context can be triggered by:
- Connection to a concrete wifi
- Disconnection from a concrete wifi
- Connection to a concrete Bluetooth device
- Disconnection from a concrete Bluetooth device
- Be within the range of a concrete wifi
- Be within the range of a bluetooth device
- Be within the range of a concrete cellular repeater
- Read a NFC card (supported phones)
- Be close to a position (by means of GPS or network localization)
- Receiving a Phone Call from a contact
- Calling a contact
- Power is connected
- Power is disconnected
- Headphone is connected
- Headphone is disconnected
Moreover there exist a 'People' trigger. With this, you can define a context that is activated when the person associated to the context calls you or when you call him/her.
Of course, a context can have more than one of the cited triggers.
Also, the activation can be conditioned by time for example for a belated activation or for implementing time-date basic reminders.
Context can be also logical with no triggers associated with it. You can, for example, create a context 'Urgent' to be associated to urgent tasks.
The tasks can be associated simultaneously with more than one context, for example two different places or one place and a logical context. Imagine a context in which the task 'Buy milk' is associated with the context 'Be near supermarket' but you also want to highlight that this is urgent, associating the logical context 'Urgent' to that task.
Logical context are useful to organize task. The tab 'Urgent' of the previous example can group all urgent tasks.
Have Fun!
