LibriVox Downloader

Very helpful for Librivox users. I use it in conjunction with Smart Audio Book Player. Interface changes with Android 7. A bit more confusing than earlier versions of Android. Thank you for your efforts.

many books in Italian, easy to find, download and listen. A great app

Works but it doesn't tell you who the readers are so there is no way to know which version to download. It also cannot download in the background. Probably better off just going to the website.

This app is useful but its kind of absurd that when you start downloading you can't leave the app or it cancels the progress on whatever chapter you're dowloading. Also if you touch the screen at all while the dowload is in progress it cancels it too. If these things were fixed it would be greatly appreciated.

It does everything you need it to do. No bugs. Great app. The people giving it a bad review don't know how to use their phone/tablet and are blaming it on the app.

Everytime I try to download anything I get "error try again later". Anyone getting this?

It is showing toast message as error downloading, try again.... I just uninstalled. Please fix this. My phone is samsung galaxy grand

I'm a long time fan and contributor to Librivox. This app is perfect for quickly choosing a book and downloading it to my audio book folder. It's simple, free, and does exactly what it should. Please note, it does not play back your downloads (in case you're looking for an all in one solution). Thank you SO much for this app!

This will find what's available on the Librivox server, but cannot connect to download any content.

I'm not going to lie, there are some things about this app that can be better. That said, for someone to make this app for his wife and then share it with the world, is awesome. The fact that this app gives me hundreds of hours of free entertainment, without any annoying bull s*** from the developer, is exquisite.

It would be great if you could add a link to librivox like guttenberg so you can see who the reader is before downloading. I have some favorite readers and prefer to stay away from some others if I can.

Why do I need this downloader when librivox downloads also, I downloaded this app and when downloading you can't leave the download screen or it stops downloading

While viewing a book's description and arrow back to the previous screen, the app takes me back to the top of the book list. I will gladly give this app 5 stars if this problem is fixed.

Nice for browsing and downloading, but would be better if it let you continue downloading in the background and better yet if you could queue up multiple downloads. Maybe a "wifi only" option would be nice too.

What is the point to an app that lets you download books but without the ability to listen to said book? This app is pointless. I was also hoping to find an app that would let me read the text, but apparently those don't exist.

This is the best way I've found to access librevox on Android without having to pick through a bunch of non librevox titles mixed throughout. Definitely worth learning the interface.

Keeps saying "cannot load book" so basically it does nothing but taunt me... is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I really enjoyed the regular Libravox app, however I don't get good reception at my job. So I downloaded this app...BUT I CAN'T LISTEN TO ANYTHING I DOWNLOAD!! IT WOULD BE GREAT IF IT WORKED

Great app especially if you love historical poems, authors long gone but whose works live on. Can also find current audio books also. Be careful what format you download in mp3 is better since it works with all audio players basically.

I like the simple interface however the downloads are really slow and you cannot exit the app without cancelling them which is a bit annoying.

Tried several books. Get error in download try again later. No success using this at all. Don't waste your time. Un-installing :-( :-(

It worked great untill yesterday now it wont finish downloading any books

Loved it at first and since librivox app is such a mess this app is a must have... Only problem is the full library isn't here.

What a waste. Cannot find books that I know are on Librivox. Might as well use the LV app. Doesn't download in background, so cannot do anything else. Uninstalling.
