What are users saying about Night Mode For Dolphin Browser

C70%
by C####:

Produces a dark, low contrast screen that is legible only in complete darkness. What we need is an ordinary high contrast dark theme that is legible under any lighting conditions.

Hi just dropping by to say this add on for dolphin browser app is good! I was searching for night mode in browser for android everywhere, and its surprising not many browser have them. Very pleasing to the eyes, pls keep up the good work!

L70%
by L####:

Cant adjust brightness. A cool app useless for a simple adjust

M70%
by M####:

the background isnt nearly as dark as i wanted it. The overall screen becomes too dim also. You can adjust it, but after you set it off the screen becomes too bright. Its worth trying but its just not for me. I prefer nightmode from dolphin reader.

Z70%
by Z####:

The only reason it's bad, is because the videos wont show any pictures in youtube!!!

M70%
by M####:

I use night mode on my note 2 to darken extremely white pages. But this addon is very dark with low contrast which decrease legibility.

M70%
by M####:

I like the gray backround more than black one. But images are not visible in this mode, sadly :/

M70%
by M####:

It darkens the pictures to virtually no visibility, before the big update, it let the pictures stay like how they were in regular mode, don't know why this changed or wasn't fixed already, needs fixed, thx!

N70%
by N####:

Does not allow me to set manually the brightness. Fix this now!!!

F70%
by F####:

Needs a *black* background (not grey) and brighter texts & images. In short, this needs a settings options

M70%
by M####:

Dims brightness so much that it's unusable. It should be optional, I can already do that on stock device.

E70%
by E####:

The default should not be so dim, or at least offer a setting to control it.

X70%
by X####:

If u want to use night mode use the Dolphin brightness control addon

A70%
by A####:

Background is perfect, but I would like the text contrast to be adjustable.

O70%
by O####:

Dolphin Browser already has nite mode built-in. This add on is unnecessary.

Until the new version came out it was perfect. Now you can't even see images.

Night mode doesnt work with latest update

Z70%

If u want to use night mode use the Dolphin brightness control addon

D70%

Useful for when using at night or dark situations. Images should be brighter though.

S70%
by S####:

It is excellent when used at night. Bug disables night mode when back button is used while surfing. So have to cycle off and on again. But annoyingly bright when it does.

G70%
by G####:

Brightness is way too low for comfortable reading. Try adding a brightness slider on the next update.

I70%
by I####:

It really helps my eyes a lot during night time browsing, Yet, I've encountered an issue: with night mode enabled, if you visit facebook, the whole webpage appears black, there is no way to read the text, the pics also appear dark. You gotta disable night mode to be able to see the contents on FB; it really bugs me.

It used to work perfect on my mytouch 3g a few years ago, now it won't work on my new Samsung exhibit. The text and images are completely dark cannot see whatsoever

Z70%

Reinstalled Dolphin V. 10 and this Night Mode is an absolute must!

Z70%
by Z####:

Works great :P

E70%
by E####:

The feature is great, but it's forcing me to stay in night mode. It isn't responding to tapping it off nor disabling it.

Z70%
by Z####:

It's a great idea and I would love to use it more, but it needs to at the very least have a way to adjust the brightness. It seems like its way to dim especially when paired with my auto brightness settings.

Z70%
by Z####:

I've been using this, and its great at night, but right now I can't seem to get out of night mode. When I tap night mode in the add-ons panel, it should toggle whether I'm in or out of night mode. However, when I select it now, it wont let me get out of niht mode. Even when I disable the add-on, somehow I'm still in night mode.

Z70%
by Z####:

Does what it's supposed to, there's just one minor glitch: when I enable it, the brightness level is locked at about 15%. The rest is fine, maybe the grey background could be darker, for those with amoled displays... ;)

Z70%
by Z####:

Surprised all mobile browsers do not have this function. I know Maxthon does. Dolphin is my fav mobile browser and now I'm glad it has night mode. Give your eyes a break! It's not good blasting your vision with a bright white screen background!

B70%
by B####:

At least someone is trying. But a transparent tint layer over text is not helpful.

D70%
by D####:

It's too dim.. I can hardly see a picture.. How to get the brightness slider? I saw it once at the start and then I never saw it again..

D70%
by D####:

Flashes bright white between pages and really really hurt my eyes. It takes over my phone brightness setting too, and overwrites it, so no way I can keep the flashes down low.

D70%
by D####:

1st luv DOLPHIN WILL ONLY USE AS MY BROWSER SO THERE 4 LUV EVERYTHING THAT COMES W/IT

D70%
by D####:

Screen is too dark it is high contrast I am not visually impaired but contrast between normal text and background is not comforting to eyes needs to be maybe dark sepia to light tan with the ability to take the brightness level to negative numbers like my reader for the ideal app. For the lack of eye comfort and text not being easily readable for long periods I give you the low score the rest was just suggestions

D70%
by D####:

Fix it and get 5 stars

X70%
by X####:

Can't see anything with the forced minimal brightness combined with my low brightness setting.

D70%
by D####:

On Galaxy Note II it's literally too dark to distinguish objects on the (amoled) screen. OLED renders dark pixels much darker than an LCD. Please allow the colour scheme to be changed (system brightness is fine at lowest).
