DriveBit for Android
Won't stay signed in. Didn't log several drives because it doesn't notify you it failed to post (using the widget) unless you open the app. Seems like I have to sign in daily. Would be 5/5 if it would stay connected.
For a first time fitness tracker user I'm greatfull for this app as I can now learn more with less confusion. I am baffled over the need to have both Steps and distance tracking. After 3 days of trying to learn how to best use my new fitbit I've ended up with some 9000 inaccurate and useless steps but when I explicitly set it to WALK it was useful and accurate. I still have time to return this and try out a competitive model and if I don't its cause of the help of this app
Newest update keeps signing out of the Fitbit app with no way to change to length authentication last anymore. Causes occasional trip to not be posted to the Fitbit app at all. Essentially broken for now.
I have a 5km bumpy road to drive out of my property every day. This app helps avoid clocking up 1,000s of unearned extra steps. Thanks! Well worth my $5.00 donation.
Works pretty well, but often it can't submit the drive time, so I have to log out and back in to re-try. Also, I got a new phone and reinstalled the app, and now the clock is different, making it extremely difficult to change the times of the drive. Not sure if it's the phone or the app, but either way, the app should make sure the user has granular control of the start/stop times.
I really like this solution, but why does it have to be a separate app. Why not just implement this solution into the main fitbit app where users will have found it a long time ago, and doesn't require yet another installation onto my device.
I've used this app for years. It's simple, straightforward, and does what it says. Fitbit counts the drives as exercise, which can throw off exercise goals, but that's an issue on their side. Lately, though, it won't stay signed in, and I have to reconnect it every couple of days. It's a bit frustrating because when it stays logged in, the Tasker integration makes this a set-and-forget solution.
I noticed that riding my motorcycle was adding absurd number of steps and stairs to my counts. This app completely makes it a snap to correct. Just make sure to allow the app access for a year (the max) or it might not log.
Used to work then stopped start of Aug. Like many on here emailed them no reply. No response on here either. 2 weeks Now 3 and counting without a response terrible. I have found a more reliable app, it's called PAPER AND PENCIL, it works every time Only got 1 star as cant give it 0 stars...From their web site DRIVEBIT 1.0.14 RELEASED DECEMBER 31, 2013. Updated 12 June 2015, looks like we will have to wait until 2017 for next update. Just glad I didn't pay for the upgrade. App updated 07 Jan 2017 Will try it out 08 Jan 2017 Well took it for a test run Sunday and Monday. Works as stated. Now to workout how to get it to work via NFC.
After the update it works perfectly for me again. I drive alot every day making deliveries. Instead of manually logging everytime I drive just hit the button and it posts. A must if you have the fitbit.
Using a Fitbit Charge HR and Sony Xperia Z5 — app works as it should. Update 07.12.17: More often than not the Drivebit app fails to record my driving time and requires me to logout and log back into the Fitbit app. A bit annoying as I am experiencing this at least twice a day, five days a week.
Does what it says it will do. Easy to set up and use, definitely worth it, especially since it is free. I ride a motorcycle which was averaging me about 3,000 steps on my Fitbit per hour; you can go in and negate these manually, but it's a hassle if you ride regularly. DriveBit saves me a lot of time and hassle. I should note that "negating" steps for your Fitbit isn't ideal, as you can still get badges and other things, though it does "remove" them from your daily total. The ideal would be a "stop counting steps until I tell you to start again" button on the Fitbit itself, but that is on them. In the meantime, if you drive on bumpy roads, ride a motorcycle, or do anything else that is falsely counting as steps on your Fitbit, pick up this app and try it out.
Very useful app since my Fitbit step counter is so inaccurate. Suggestion for useful feature- try and make the widget able to be on the lock screen, if Android will let you
It is great that I can just hit a button on my phone and it will track the driving for me. It corrects the altitude and vibrations that count as steps and stairs while driving.
This application does what it's supposed to but everytime it's used you must allow it to share data with Fitbit. Why the developers can't fix this irritating reoccurring problem is beyond me. The app has never worked right but at least you can resend the data it loses track of.
Didn't work for like 8 months, but it's fixed now and it is incredibly useful for when I'm riding my motorcycle.
The feature promised by this app is very useful.Unfortunately the developers could not make this app right. It all of a sudden gets log out automatically and oftenly fails to log data into fitbit even though it is signed In.I am hence uninstalling it and changing rating from 4 to 2 star
It's a good app and does a pretty good job with providing a more accurate stepcount and has potential to be really good but needs improvement: ~Needs a much easier way(from startup screen) to choose different activity type. Shouldn't have to dig through settings menu. Should have dropdown or ability to choose favs from startup screen. Perhaps right below start button or something. ~also needs way to pair with car's bluetooth for auto detection of driving activity when paired with user's car bluetooth Ideally, it should be a feature built into the fitbit app.
Wireless great as promised. Too bad it's feature is not native in Fitbit Charge2
Seys its synced with your fitbit but does not, would even pay for the app if it worked properly, sadly it's to intermittent, needs more work done to get 5 stars which is a shame.
I am using this with Tasker so I now don't care about the Fitbit recording steps while driving. For those complaining about incorrectly recording floors, that is a Fitbit issue, this app only records a specific kind of activity and Fitbit does the rest.
It's great for deleting steps while in a car ect BUT every time I do it, it adds to calories burned, today I cancelled steps for a couple of hours and it added 1000 calories to my burned calories, please fix
Took almost half a year to fix the issue
It is a little tricky to edit times. It would be easier to just be able to enter the desired time than to use the dial for adjustment.
Just got it on my phone. Wish I had it yesterday when I rode over 100 miles and somehow had 19,000 steps while sitting in a conference.
Good app - wish there was a way to integrate the google location api, so it automatically knows when you're driving. Let me know if this is possible!
It writes back into the fitbit but does not adjust steps erroneously added to a challenge.
Seems to work fine. Would be nice if it could track pairings so it would know that when the phone is paired with my car stereo I'm driving.
It's as if I never installed it. Still records steps when I'm driving which is what I do for a living.
Should be pretty installed on the fit bit watches so you don't have to go to the app to start it
Took a little while to get this update but seems to have been well worth the wait.
Perfect, perfect, perfect!! Thanks for making this available with Tasker plugin capability. Ten stars if it was possible! :)
Does what it needs to do. Can be linked to tasker to automate the logging.
As of this morning, will not connect to fitbit.
Is there a way to login with FB account?
Love it now that it's been fixed.
Great app to negate driving steps
Typing and screen sharing is not needed. The app is perfect
It works as intended

Updated review: New version does post to Fitbit correctly. Haven't taken it for a ride longer than 2 minutes, but it seemed to work ok. Loved the app until 8/1/16 when Fitbit changed their security. From the Fitbit forums: :"To enhance security for our users, we've upgraded from OAuth 1.0a to OAuth 2.0. OAuth 2.0 is a significant improvement from OAuth 1.0a." Will DriveBit be updated to reflect the security change?
