GoldenDict Free

Unlike many other vapp that has single dictionary this app has no dictionary built-in but allows to install 5 dictionary database file and with single search your word lookup in all dictionaries at one very fast and this save a lot of time. Premium version allows more than 5 dictionary.overall highly recommend

This is an awesome app. I can use multiple languages at same time. Very very helpful app. Can give 10 stars. One thing i need from the app is to get the words from clipboard to the dictionary when we copy a word.(as an option to enable this function or disable when needed). Please add this function with next update. Thank you.

This is the best dictionary app I've ever used, I really appreciate your work. But there's something bothering me for quite some time, the app often crashes when sharing word to it. This is the steps following which you may reproduce the problem: 1. Open a web browser or whatever containing words in it 2. select a word 3. Click on "Share", select "Goldendict" 4. Goldendict pops up, then there's a chance that Goldendict will crash, along with the original web browser or whatever you opened at first, the chance is about 1 out of 10. I'm using Android 6.0, but I can reproduce the problem on Android 5.0, in a different phone. I didn't find a place to post suggestions in the app, so I put it here. I hope you could fix the problem. Again, thank you for creating such an amazing app, it definitely helps me a lot.

Update: Recently install and test after a long time not installing it anymore. On installation it detects ColorDict dictionaries then use them, while for Lingoes dicts it ...accepts only 1 dictionary (why 1 only, needs a pro version for that?). Interface OK but neither nice nor user friendly, the menu does not display all entries and no scroll so the other item of the menu is not visible (on my test 4'' device, maybe it's better on my 6'' device)

I mistakenly index first 5 lingoes dicts then I can not find any where allow me to change to other dicts. Mdict is clearly better.

NEED UPDATE !!!!!!!!! Some time it crash. And close immediately after I look up some word.

Собственно замена lingvo только бесплатный! Можно добавлять словари, озвучку и т.д. Вообще всем рекомендую.

This is the good free dicitonary management, but it has not the quick search funtion. I hope that it has this function to suppot the reader.

1. Floating icon (like blue dict) for quick search. Some app do not allow select/copy word, so we need to type and lookup. 2. Option to adjust space between lines, some dictionary make this space so big and the content becomes a very long list. 3. Auto lookup clipboard, i have to use "copy and translate" app to send the word in clipboard to golden dict. 4. Option to disable dictionary, not delete it physically. 5. Resizable, movable popup window

How can I write words without precision after some matches and still would be popped up like fora dictionary

I was amazed by how many dict formats golden dictionary supports. I like the "music player" concept. But pronunciation is not available?! This is a must. Thank you developers for this great app

Unlike the PC version, this app only allows 3 dictionaries/glossaries active at the same time. Also, it stores its index files on /GoldenDict/ directory on internal memory, which cannot be moved to SDcard.

Procedure to install Babylon dictionaries on Android does not work.

Can you add Mdict support, it would make goldendict the best dictonary available on android.

Not possible to see inflected forms of verbs.

Extremely useful app with extremely annoying ads (when used with Internet connection enabled).

Still I reduced 1 ☆ because the content dictionary databases aren't provided by GoldenDict!

This is a wonderful Dictionary Lookup Program with so many features! Offering it free of charge is a great social service really! Multiple dictionaries can be referred to simultaneously 'offline' for meanings along with grammar, synonyms, antonyms, origins and use in sentence examples. Most of the dictionaries are available free from the web. Some of them even offer audible British and American pronunciations for the text. I will be happy if there is a detailed user manual. I still don’t understand some features such as programs, websites and morphology

Very fast and good but when i write a word, it shows same word in different line and dictionary. So when i click on one , it doesnt show other some words...

Can it export the searched words to a text file and keep that file updated as more and more searches are done? Also another feature that I want is for it to be able to export the meaning of every searched word from all our some selected dictionaries to a pdf or HTML file so that I can have a mini dictionary of the words that I have searched and refrencee to it to increase my vocabulary. I absolutely need this feature. If above features exist in pro version I will buy it else I am ok with free version.

This is just a crazy app. You never want enything more than what it provides.

Kindly add support fot Babylon .bdc files also. So far, it supports only .bgl files of Babylon.

BUG: after i reach amount of 5 dictionaries, i can't substitute any of them with a new one. DISADVANTAGE: Also, there is no way to disable a dictionary, the app only deletes them physically!

I get blank bar that of the size of action bar right below it. Please release fix for it. Keep up the good work.

If ads are popping why 5 dictionary limitation. Very good app. It can't replace one dictionary with another without deleting the existing dictionary.

It's disappointing. I used it on my laptop and on my IPhone and it worked fine; however, it is a piece of junk on my Android.

This Dictionary is very best support in urdu and arabic

I recommend it strongly you have to try it absolutely
