The Daily Star - Lebanon for Android
Delivers confidential news. Always the speediest in forwarding breaking news be it local or international. Nothing like it!
Unsurpassed coverage of the Middle East ... Aljezeera bites of more than it can chew
The Daily Starbucks is great for breaking news on the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and Afghanistan, countries I monitor.
Good source for some news from and about the Middle East. I like it's section on Lebanon which provides something of the rhythm of life there.
I have been reading this paper on-line for four years. This paper's in depth and intrepid journalism is why I love getting up every morning; I know that there will be reporting, no matter how mundane, that has meaning, that has consequences, and that has importance to Lebanon and, usually, to the rest of the international community. Thank You...
When i open a news category, news aren't listed in decreasing order according to time published! Please fix this..
I am always updated about any international major event in the world. A real international network. Worth having it. Good alerts. Runs smoothly
A subscription? Are you serious? And here i thought u were an actual good group.
Clean layout, up to date regional and world news. Good job
Good articles and timely updates.
Make the content free again
Best place for English language news from Lebanon.
Good and quite comprehensive reporting about Lebanon's news...
It was better when it was free
Keeps me updated smoothly
I try and read the article but get a link to a payment site. It's 1 USD, but for what? The article? A monthly subscription? It doesn't say. Also, I've never paid for news coverage. I think TDS could have thought this one out a little more.
Very efficient app with excellent UI. Breaking news alerts are very helpful and practical. However, devs must add a way to access the app via the breaking news stories alerts since i need to exit the alert and then open the app manually in order to read the breaking story. Keep up the good work though!
I was surprised to see the new pay as you go structure, although only $1 per month, before those nagging technical issued are addressed. I also think $1 per month is a small fee in exchange for the articles provided.
However paying to read an article is too much. Please get some advertisers to pay so we can read ur paper like before. Tks.
When I want to know what's really happening in Lebanon this app is my source!
App needs fixing in terms of organization and the links to the story from the notification panel doesnt always work
Got used to reading it for free. Too bad it's paying now. Removing it
Been reading the Daily Star for a long time and now I have to pay :( grown to love those people over there. Going to miss them :(
Leading source of news about Lebanon and the region... The Best... ☺
Very stupid specially when there are so many news outlets for free....
Used to be my favorite news all, now it will be found in the deleted apps section.
Loved this when it was free. I think they do a good job. I don't want to pay for it. Sorry
Not worth paying for though
You just lost a long time subscriber.
Great app. Will gladly pay.
The app works well and the news is timely.
Wish I had more control over notifications sometimes it gets annoying
The application says there is an update. I click update it takes me to the Play store with option to Open which brings me back to the same loop.
Keeps me updated smoothly
It has always been free. This app reminds me of the Lebanese govt always making us pay with nothing in return
Good... Very informative, quite objective and fast/diversified news...
Nice.
Useless now, wil uninstall
Instead of asking for a subscription fee maybe u should work on how to update ur news faster!!!

TDS is hands down the best news source for Lebanon, Middle East and even US. I often learn of breaking news on TDS before I hear it from US news outlets. However, the user interface on the app needs some love. Renewing a subscription is cryptic at best, and searching for articles is very difficult. For me, it's worth the money, but they should work on improving the user experience.
