You have to know the ip address to connect to the device. Would be nice if the app would provide that for you. Once connected it's very slow to respond and then got stuck. Not a good experience.

Looks promising. Worked for screen sharing with rooted Nexus 5X running Android 7.1.1. I did encounter some issues. When starting PhoneViewer on the server phone the IP address of the phone is not shown anywhere, so it's impossible to connect to it. One first has to find some other tool that displays the IP address. Second issue is that on the viewer side the buttons around the screen image are way too big making the screen image very small. Third, there is no feedback on the viewer side when one taps on something and the change often takes several seconds to propagate back, would be nice to have some audible or visual feedback. Fourth, pinch-zoom doesn't work, at least not in google maps.
