Mad Genius Radio

This app is great , ive gone through quite a few apps and none seem to have any indie, folk or alt music that was worth listening to. This one is completely different and WORTH IT. Ive had it on for a couple of hours and so far, it has the best selection of GOOD music that ive seen. I would gladly pay for this one!

I don't even remember how I stumbled upon MG when it came out but I have stopped using any other streaming music services since then. The ability to customize your stations is way ahead of Pandora, rdio, or Spotify. To make it even better MG gave me a free lifetime subscription.

This is truly the best music app I've used...and I have used lots of them! I love mixing different music genres and having the ability to adjust how often a genre plays for each preset. Great options for customization. Keep up the great work!

Thank you! Some of the other streaming apps that are popular work but they don't let you have anything close to you guys!! This is the absolute best streaming ever! I can have mixed genre stations with what I wanna hear! Brilliant! Easy to navigate and amazing quality! I love these developers! You are truly mad genius!

Best streaming app ever! Extensive genre selection and easily customized to fit personal tastes.

I sign up in 10 minutes later it tells me my free trial is over, not to mention the whole layout needs to come to the 21st century!

This streaming app is simply the best. The ability to rate songs and artists that haven't been played yet is sweet. Having 5 different "stations" is awesome for when I'm in different musical moods. I love the UI. The whole thing is....Genius!

I use the browser version all the time but since the last update to make the app lollipop ready, the app is worthless on my Samsung Note Edge. Nothing but hesitation and skipping. Still have to use Pandora on phone.

Mad Genius had me listening to music I love immediately. The rating system so eloquently fine tunes my listening experience, that an unpleasant note is a rare thing. If a song or artist gets too much play I can just lower the rating. Reject a tune & never hear it again. Find your most obscure faves with their hits and albums. MGD constantly curates new genres. Design a preset for every mood and still get surprised every day. Check out The Roches. MAD GENIUS RADIO is the bomb!

As a lifetime Mad Genius listener, I was really looking forward to the app... by far the best music service out there. But playback in the app is so choppy it's unusable. Desperate for a fix for this, so I can come back and give the five stars the service deserves.

Mad Genius is leaps and bounds I in the right direction of streaming media, I can't believe it hasn't caught on like it should have by now. I recommend it to all my friends over Pandora. The company needs to invest in some heavy advertising and try to get the recognition it deserves.

It stopped working and my bug report to support went ignored. Was ready to fork over my money too.

5 stars with mobile chromecast support. If you are looking for a customizable radio for exactly what you want to listen to and you don't want to sit and pick specific songs, this is the best music app I have found for that purpose. The option exists to ban certain songs or artists from playing, as well as increasing the artists or songs you like the most.

About 1000 times better than Pandora. Mix genres on the fly and create your station for your mood.

Please add unlimited skips so u can skip songs as miney as u want please guys I luv your app

Pandora what? Even thinking about Pandora is a step back in time compared to what MGR can do. I absolutely love it!

It opens but does nothing. I would love to try it out but it does not work. Just saw email where android tablets not yet supported.

Love the app but it just simply doesn't work on my tablet. The UI is broken and I can't edit on of my mixes. The sliders are off the screen and when you try to change tabs it freezes for a second or completely crashes altogether.

This app takes the concept of Pandora and makes it more customizable with a better variety. I love it. I only have two requests, remembering the playing you use on exit and being able to exit from within the app. Even without those two things it's worth every start it gets. I've deleted Pandora and cancelled my subscription already. I look forward to the future of Mad Genius Radio!

The way Mad Genius Radio allows for personalized presets is amazing! It is truly remarkable but there are two specific features that I feel make it a category killer... 1. I have the ability to go back in time to a specific genre and year. This means I can choose to listen to music from the spring of 1994 if I wish. I can also choose how much of that year I want mixed in to the playlist. ... 2. I can mix in new artists of today. I rarely listen to terrestrial radio anymore so Mad Genius Radio gives me the ability to hear the newest music in whichever category I choose. Try it...you'll dig it. One last thing... I'm running it on a Galaxy S5 and so far it's smooth. No bugs that I can find.---Edit---I've been using the app and web service for a little while now and I noticed that the sound quality for both is incredible. I will continue to add comments as I tweak my playlists and use the service. Any little problem for the Galaxy S5 will be listed here. So far....nothing.

Customizable, rarely any loops withing 24hrs or none at all, great music. What else do you want from a music app that is customizable to you?

I should have reviewed this sooner. ONLY music app I've ever wanted to keep. I've listened to well over a thousand songs. You pick favorite artists, they have all albums, pick favorite songs and they intersperse your requests throughout your chosen genres. You have 5 preset stations made up of your choice of music. No commercials. Ingenious idea, largest library, most OBSCURE songs. Things I'd think nobody would have ever HEARD, much less have access to. You must try this. You'll be hooked.

I am an iheart veteran but once i heard about this app i tried it out. I love that you can select different genres for the same station.

Lovin this amazing music radio app! I especially like the " my requests" feature. I'm a rocker who likes a little country. Very little country. With the my requests feature, I can add Johnny Cash to the mix without having to add an entire genre. Mad genius has replaced pandora as my go to music radio app!
