I used this app all the time on my old iPhone and it was great. But the Android version is lacking a lot of features as others have said. I got a notification that I was running low on data so I checked my app usage and Wally used over a GB running in the background in just a couple weeks!

by C####:

Oops something went wrong! This error comes all the damn time. Why does this kind of app require sync with a server? Used to like it. Now can't be bothered. Will use another app

D70%
by D####:

The IOS version is so much better even thought the UI is better. This Andriod version doesnt allow me to create new category, and keep defaulting location even when im entering 1 day ago budget. Editing entry also doesnt work very well, it works like 50% of the time for some odd reason.

D70%
by D####:

No recurring payment feature. Basically you can't automatically input your mortgage or rent to be taken out on the 1st of the month every month. You can set up recurring income, but there is no biweekly option, only specific days.

A70%
by A####:

The apps looks really nice but not very practical. I will prefer to keep it simple and easy to read. I was unable to review past month budget. I can track past month expenses but not the income and how much I have saved.

D70%
by D####:

Is an aesthetic app.. Easy to input my expenses, but otherwise is confusing. Money spent is not reflected in an "income" if I adjust it. There are a variety of things I found confusing about adding in accounts and expenses. I am also nervous that if my location setting is on, it shows where I spent my money. Just another way to collect my information and sell the data to companies..

Forgot password option is not working. I lost my phone and am trying to use this app again and it tells me my email is already being used. I would like to continue ising the app and log in with my email. PLEASE HELLO!

D70%
by D####:

The app won't let you have reoccurring expenses. Health insurance, car payments, etc are the same every month and having to input each individual payment is frustrating.

D70%
by D####:

Extremely clunky interface. Very bad. Very little intuitiveness. No direct account connectivity. Very rigid, only seems to be able to cater to those who get paid monthly, not bi-weekly. Does not seem to be built for someone who gets paid different amounts each pay. Would not recommend in it's current form.

Uses up so much data! Why does this app require a data connection?! The option to turn this off would make this the perfect app. Frankly, I do not care about the comparison to other people spending habits. This should be optional.

I haven't even opened the app on my phone and I can tell that it will be useless to me. The last update claims that it's in beta and was released in 2015. Since this time users have been stating that this app is lacking necessary features when compared to the iOS variant. I can tell that Wally is classifying me as a second-rate user and does not see my experience as important, only my installation as a number on their app statistics. I won't even waste my time...

D70%
by D####:

Has become worse instead of better. Still the same terrible UI rather than the one used for iPhones (the one on the pictures). Now it rounds off my numbers. Instead of 8.80, it'll say 9. I want to know exactly how much money i have, not an estimate. Also many bugs, the most annoying of which is that it won't let you edit past purchases.

D70%
by D####:

This app has so few features that it feels like a black hole for your data. You can't see most of the information you put in later on to analyze your purchases, and you have to manually input every thing as there's no auto import option. You also can't export your data, so once it's entered it basically disappears into a generalized pie chart.

D70%
by D####:

What happened with the password? I was doing use of this app daily but now I can't access nor retrieve my password. A huge letdown

W70%
by W####:

K, got good potential but I have an issue with multi currency - ie it doesn't handle it properly. If you change the currency, it changes currency for all transactions in the past as well. What about if you travel somewhere for a trip etc?

O70%
by O####:

Lots of missing features. Hope you can change when each month starts so you can sync it to when salary usually arrivea. Also I hope I can just type the amount of money I transferred from my bank account to my wallet/other accounts and it will automatically add/subtract the amount from the respective accounts. Right now I have to do everything manually. :/ It's a beautiful app, I just wish it has more functions. How long does this have to be in beta?

Hi I was using this app on another phone and it was great. But, I just changed my phone and downloaded this app again because I had a good experience. I tried putting in my email and password which I used previously but the app said both didn't match. So I clicked the "forget password" option to put in my email. However once I did that, the "sorry, an error has occured" window popped out. So idk what to do because my progress is all on that email but I can't even access it now. Pls help.

Long time user of wally (almost 2 years) recently switched from IOS to android. Many key featured are missing in the Android version such as: - recurring expenses - setting the first day of the month/cycle (ie if you don't get paid on the first day of the month) - customized tags and labels - other minor features However, the interface looks a bit better on this version. Wally has such a clean interface, and it is so easy to use and I also love the geotagging. Pls fix them!!

M70%
by M####:

I used to like Wally a lot on an iPhone, it's ad-free, simple and flawless design. Now the android version is a whole new level of messy looking and also it's impossible to migrate data from iphone to android phone. So no matter how much i've fantasised, putting a thump down is well worth the time spent for this review.

I like this app. But I have noticed some serious glitches. For example I have been using it for a year and I just realised that in my history it adds the same months expenses from 2 different years (example: march2016 plus march2015) this is a serious problem if you really want to have an accurate history of ur spending. Please work on an update where thiss bug is fixed.

by M####:

I really enjoy this app. It helps a lot with my budgeting, especially for those times that it takes 3 days to clear a payment from my debit card. The only suggestion I would make is to have an option for monthly recurring expenses. This would be useful for monthly bills.

M70%
by M####:

This is not user friendly at all. Also why have 2 different for iPhone and Android. ? All the data that I have entered on iPhone are now gone. Once I switch back to iPhone again whatever I entered on samsung will be gone. Such a waste of time

Needs Export Option! Everyone is asking, no feedback from company anywhere. Did find article from 2014 first Beta release of the android version where the co said it had the export option under "settings", but this option is NOT in the current version :( What's up? Useless without both import & export. Will Love it with those options.

For an app in beta, going 5 months without an update is weird. Looks like there's no more development for this app. No transfers between accounts, can't set different currencies for different accounts, can't choose a date for payments.

M70%
by M####:

I understand the app is still in development, so will be changing my rating after it gets more features, but for now it's not really usable for me. No recurring expenses, and weird little quirks (like changing your income changes your account balance, requiring you to correct it) which are just annoying.

M70%
by M####:

The app will be even more better if feature of transferring funds between the accounts is added. Now when funds are transferred from bank account to wallet account it is expense for bank account and income for wallet, hence rising expense and income in dashboard.

M70%
by M####:

There's an error calculating savings goal. When I try to introduce manually the ammount thar I would like ro save it gives me a very big percentage, frozes the app and the phone (S7 Edge). Also, no recurring payments and interface can be more simple. It can be a great app or a great disaster. There's still lots of work to do and improvement to make, so make sure you do it right and as people are asking!

I can't find how to stop this app from ringing after each transaction. That has been a big annoyance. I would also like to turn off venue scanning for transactions. These two have made me want to stop using the app, even though I originally thought that its really cool.

Basically it's a good app that I'll uninstall shortly. Would be happy to keep using if only there were a function to create recurring expenses. Seems to be an incredible oversight given you're able to add recurring income!

M70%
by M####:

I was soooo excited to have discovered what might be the only budgeting app that can scan receipts then categorize them. Sadly, I'm not even able to create an account. Please email me when I can create an account

M70%

I have an iTouch and an Android phone and both have this app because I sometimes leave the other. Syncing between devices will be a huge advantage. I've tried a lot of budgeting apps already and none have this feature yet and I hope this one would. Add credit options too, when someone pays you back or you just happen to find money on your bag or pockets.

I would need to manually enter all my revuring expenses every month like gym membership, healthcare, loan debts, etc...

M70%
by M####:

I gave up using the app at the very first expense I tried to add: first, it doesn't let you enter your own venue - if the place where you have made the expense is not in the Foursquare database, you won't be able to add it yourself; second, it's not possible to enter a recurring expense; third... wait... No recurring expenses? Really? I didn't waste enough time to see the third problem, sorry.

The app has a plenty of resources, but the interface is a lot confusing, lots of colors and images. Im pretty sure it will be a great app if they keep working on the interface!

M70%
by M####:

Budget is very flat and I can't tell if it is even useful for budgeting. Can't add custom expenses categories, the expenses venue is extremely stupid, no web interface, reports are very simple, didn't continue the evaluation and just uninstalled it and went to YNAB

O70%
by O####:

The menus and the overall design are very crowded, complicated and they lack the simplicity of the iOS version. Sometimes, less is better.

M70%
by M####:

Great interface / very user friendly and simple. Love the fact that the app itself does not require you to connect or sync any of your bank accounts. That means that, for the initial set-up, you will have to log into your accounts from a computer, get your numbers and input them on the app. That said, the app itself makes you come back to it every time you spend money - it's great accountability. Furthermore, because you keep revisiting the app, you have the constant reminder of your budget and your current balance. So far there are a couple of things that I've noticed could make this app even better: 1. Custom-able pattern spending. There already is a categorical tag you can attach to expenses. However, the user should be able to either customize them or, the developers should add a wider arrangement of common expenses (ie.: bill pay, groceries, gas, clothing, food, etc.). These categories should make it simpler for the user as to which expenses to cut back on and which one's they can't really change. 2. Have a bill pay reminder. Maybe add a calendar of sorts where the user can set up an alarm system to remind them of upcoming bills.

M70%
by M####:

If you can make it exactly like the one on the Apple store then it would be fantastic! An option to remove the whole connectivity thing would be great too.

I recently switched to an android from iOS and there were notable functions missing! Without those functions like recurring payments and salary credited in the middle of the month is just extremely disappointing as I loved your iOS version enough to pay for it. Please fix it!
