About Score Master Lite

Touch piano before note reaches the left line!

This is a (musical) score reading(site read) training application.You can learn note position of a sheet music.

There are two modes.
★ practice mode
Note stops until you touch right note, so you can play at your pace. This mode is recommended for beginners,too.
★ normal mode
Note comes in real time. if you fail to press right note in time, miss count increases.

Changeable settings(press menu key at title)
* sound volume(become 0 if phone's ringtone volume is 0)
* accidentals(5 types.none,#,b,# + x,b + bb)
* keyboard settings(8 types.none,doremi,code,code(with octave),Chinese,French,German,Japanese)
* clef(4 types. G(treble),F(bass),C(alto),C(tenor))
* key signature(10 types.C major,# signatures(up to 5),b signatures(up to 4))
* sound(2 types.piano and acoustic guitar)
* keyboard width(5 types.set black key width rate against white key between 0.5 to 0.9)
* piano key number(4 types. wider/normal/narrow/mini)
* question note range(4 types. wider/normal/narrow/mini)
* game speed(3 types(50-70) to 9type(40-130 in app billing))
* note number(8 types(3-10 measure) in app billing)
* theoretical mode(theoretical[faithful with music theory]/verbose[explicitly show accidental])
* low memory mode(becomes simpler drawing)

[Tips]
- Accidentals(#,b etc) effects only current bar. Across the new bar line, accidentals effect will be reset.
- In contrast, changed key effect lasts during the staff notation if you change measure.
- If you touch right note as close as left judgement line, you'll get better judgement(perfect > great > good).

[About combination of settings]
- Even if you select flat appear mode,sharp appears to override other accidental effect (in theoretical mode,this case only) with sharp key signatures selection.
- And when you select many sharp key signatures like B major with flat appear mode, natural appears more frequent.
- Many flat key signatures with sharp appear mode behaves similarly.
- Even if you select no accidentals, accidental effects are overridden in verbose mode.

Seems like the developer is no longer maintaining this app. It is great but really needs some improvements. This is what stops me from purchasing... What a shame

Have been looking at about ten different notes learning apps and this is the only one that's given me a pleasant experience so far. What I really like about it was 1. The number of options available for different users and 2. They don't ask you to press notes on the same key when they're actually in different octaves. A lot other apps do that because they're only showing a single octave on the keyboard. It's a bad practice if you're serious about learning how to play

Works really well. This is definitely perfect to help one train reading notes. Hopefully it'll speed me up even a little. For free, its great! Thx!

This is exactly what I was looking for - something that lets me learn the notes at my own pace (I only know treble clef at the moment) that I can take with me. It's not a replacement for sheet music or books, but it is something that I can use to reinforce what I'm learning on a train or between meetings.

Start screen doesn't respond to touch, then Force closes on my Samsung galaxy ace.

Better than i thought it would be. Great for learning to read sheet music.

I'm a piano teacher and this game is great in theory, however it says you miss the notes half the time even though you get them right.

I do not have a menu key on my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. I can't set the preference and so I can't use it.

Example: in key of E in bass clef, the F# does not apply to octave lower. Should be easy for the developer. Overall great app.

Is it possible to incorporate phone's microphone like the tuner app. This will help incredibly to learn to play piano scales etc. Willing to pay for something like that!!!

The scoring doesn't make sense. It is backwards. 3 misses = PERFECT!???? Please fix

I decided to learn to read music and downloaded all the apps I could find. Although this app was doesn't have the most attractive design, it is the best one because its stable and has a wide range of controls. One thing lacking that some other apps had is ranking or charting your progress.

Very useful app. The two modes (practice and normal) are a nice way two practice reading sheet music. Comes with lots of options, although not all of them are clearly explained. For beginners, the slowest speed will already be too fast, although with the practice mode that does not really matter. Suggestions: * In case of a mistake, display the note that the user played over the scrolling score in red. * Add a metronome option as an auditory timing queue. * Allow game speed to be any value. Specifically, allow it to go slower * Shorten intro and outro times. * Calculate an overall score in addition to the component scores, to make it easier to compete with yourself. * Add a 'dynamic speed' option, which speeds up as the user gets more notes right

I mostly play by ear, but after 20yrs of that, I've decided to give 'learning theory' a good go, and this app is awesome for learning! Cheers!

I wish you could put up the guiar version you had so we could answer with a fretboard.I love this version but, I need a guitar one since I play piano and guitar. As for this version, its perfect.

O70%

As a beginner, this app made it easy for me to get faster at reading and playing music. Hopefully they can offer longer and more difficult long pieces later on because I love the way this app is set up, and it would be great to help people on the more intermediate and expert levels as well.

I had an idea to create an app.... I didn't know how... This person read my mind.

S70%

Great app to learn your music notes, but it would be even better if you included the other staff as well (the notes played by the left hand in the piano)

S70%
by S####:

This is a great training app because you need to recognise the note with a given time. Please could we have the option to go slower than 40. Thanks :-)
