"Light Meter - Optimum Image" is an incident light meter and a companion for your DSLR camera. It assists you with capturing perfectly exposed photographs on your DSLR in the current light conditions.
* How does "Light Meter - Optimum Image" work ?
"Light Meter - Optimum Image" guides you with capturing balanced images under current light conditions by helping you calculate the aperture based on the current ISO and Shutter Speed OR the Shutter Speed based on the current ISO and Aperture. The ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed readings are to be used on you camera while it is in manual mode.
* Who is the intended audience for "Light Meter - Optimum Image" ?
Every photography enthusiast is aware that the three elements that decide whether your picture is perfectly exposed are the Aperture, the Shutter Speed and the ISO. A change in any of these elements will have an impact on the other elements. This application is intended to be used by everyone who is interested in photography and especially amateur photographers who will benefit by understanding what settings to use on their cameras to produce good images.
* How do I use "Light Meter - Optimum Image" ?
Start the application and select the required settings for ISO and Aperture Or ISO and Shutter Speed. Tap the "Measure" button and align the device in front of your subject with the light sensor facing the light source. This will display and update the desired value for Aperture or Shutter speed based on the changing light conditions until the "Stop" button is pressed.
* How do I use the readings from "Light Meter - Optimum Image" ?
The ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture readings are to be used on your DSLR Camera when it is on manual mode.
* Where is the Light Sensor located on my phone ?
The light sensor, if present on your device is usually located on the front panel close to the secondary camera.
* What LUX calibration options does the application support ?
Light Meter - Optimum Image supports three calibration modes.
1) Application Calibrated - The application calibrates the LUX reported by the device.
2) Gain - You can choose the existing device reported LUX to be multiplied by a 'gain' factor. (Gain x Device LUX)
3) Corresponding LUX on light meter - If you have access to a light meter, you can set the LUX reported by your device to the corresponding LUX on a external light meter.

* Can I use this application if my phone does not have a light sensor ?
No, Light Meter requires a phone with an ambient light sensor to function correctly.
* I think the readings are inaccurate on my phone. What do I do ?
