QR Code Reader

Functionality is passable, if it weren't free I'd probably look for something else. Sometimes it fails to scan. I mostly take photos at the store and scan them later at home. The lack of privacy with this app. concerns me. Also the website it takes me to on UPC scans is crappy.

WHY do you need an in app browser is my question?? Just send the retrieved info to the default browser and you won't have to worry about up dating the browser, DUH!!!!! I mean the app already works great, you just have to apply the VERY OLD phrase, "if the damn thing ain't broke, then STOP TRYING TO FIX IT!!"

It used to work but not anymore. The scanner does nothing but makes the whole screen dark as if I'm sitting in a cave. What a disappointment.

it never reads small QR codes even though my Xeperia has good camera. another app reads very well and quick, so I'll uninstall this.

Works just the way I want it to. No weird frills. It opens in my browser and has its own settings menu. I love this simple thing

Scans fine, but doesn't show any info. Gets DNS error when looking up barcode. Worthless.

We readers in the past let me down but not this one it's fast and easy to use

It's great. It figures out what all those little squiggles are. Then it sends you to a website to get the information behind that product. Just hope that website still exists.

Failing to explicitly close the QR scan result view after scanning causes the previous result to be resurfaced following the next scan. This can be very confusing as the app presents this like it has captured a new QR code. Samsung S6.

I'm just submitting a rating so it stops asking me every time I open the app because it's super annoying. Would be a 5 star app if it weren't so damn needy.

The qr code reader is great. It gives you up to the minute real time schedule for all buses at stop. Recent improvements allow qr reader to work in low light. Thank you !

It never works. I point my camera at the QR code for 3 minutes, and what does it do? Absolutely freaking nothing.

Easy to use! Not knowing what these box codes actually contain, this app can give you needed information on the go.

Unlike so many others in the market, this simply does what it says it does. No ads, fast. Although it's access requirements are odd.

I like it, but it is a bit tricky to get it to read the codes sometimes. It is convenient when it works well, you can get a wealth of information about a product.

This scanner works well even with viewing angles far from thr normal to the plane of the code. When I get a device with 4G, I will be often using this scanner to view the real-time bus schedule for whatever stop I'm at. [Buys a $25 smartphone] The scanner copes with bus stop codes in dim light barely visible on the screen.

Never works on my Sony xperia z3. Can't focus on the code. Edit: I have an s7 now and I can auto focus easily in the stock camera app but impossible in this app. Near focusing needs to be fixed or give us manual focus, it focuses properly but then focuses far away. It searches for focus like crazy then settles on infinity it seems. Loves far focus when near focus is needed

Why do you now need access to my location, photos, media and files? It's worked perfectly in past without these permissions and I see no reason to have them except for highly invasive surveillance. Excellent otherwise, but, giving you only 2 stars due to these severe privacy issues.

when i first installed it long time ago, i thought this is the only official app to scan qr code, i didn't know that there are other better choices! this app has two problems. 1. it can't focus if you put the qr code too close to the camera. if you move it away, it can focus but it is too small to be scanned. 2. if my machine is in the reverse portrait position, this app can't even read. it can only read qr code when the machine is in regular portrait position. i thought that it was all because of my machine, i was so wrong until today when i installed qr and barcode scanner, it didn't have those two problems. it works perfectly .

Random, full screen pop up ads. Why do developers think that these type of ads are acceptable? These ads also collect data without permission requests to do so. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP OR ANYTHING ELSE BY THIS DEVELOPER!

I can't scan a qr code if the code is on my phone. I screenshot the qr code and cropped it to scan using the gallery feature but it didn't work. Or maybe I just don't know how to use this app. I can ask others to scan it for me but I thought maybe you guys should know. Other than that, this app is great. Good job! (^^)b

I went through 6 different apps until I got to yours. All the others would not focus on this one code and scan it. The second I lined up your app it instantly scanned!! Thank you Thank you!!! I was starting to lose my temper and as my hubby said "whew they finally saved the day".....

A lot of times the app will show the previous scanned link instead of the just scanned resulting in a lot of time wasted scanning and checking the links. Really disappointed for any one use app. Uninstalled in most of my devices

Nice App. I recommend. I suggested to my friends and its working nice for them, except one who facing problem while scanning QR. Everytime apps asking for internet connectivity whenever scanning QR. Any suggestion?

Good, fast, I like it, except it makes use of shop advisor which is shutting down their service, so many things aren't Scannable by this app right now. :( 20160914

Works very good with no adds garbage. Only have some probs with focus when a code isn't sharp enough but that is due to the limitations of the camera on my phone (Galaxy Pocket Neo)

Won't recognize codes on metal engravings or or anything with a smaller QR CODE. I have a Galaxy Note 5 and no settings worked on a 1/4" square QR. Totally in focus and it just won't recognize. I know it's a bit small but the screen showed clear as day, better than I could see it with my eye. Lighting was changed 4 different times with professional Canon photography lighting as well as regular ambient light from home ceiling lighting. Just testing it to try and make it work. Will try with other phones. D-

I was testing different types of qr code readers and this one was working the best and also even the high rated ones weren't as good as this one so this should get high rated also try it out!!!:)

I tried a dozen different QR scanners, and this was the only one that met my three requirements. It has a clean interface, runs smooth on old hardware, and can easily share via the app of my choosing.

When same barcode is read multiple times, it either takes too much time to decode or it would display as wrong barcode type. Would have been a great app if this is fixed.

Tried other scanners too. But this one, very sensitive to any code. Even in the blurry state where other scanners wasted time to sharpen the view and read the code (which also took time too).

It just doesn't want to work. Maybe it's my phone, or maybe it's this app, but I can't waste any more time on it.

Tried this against another app. This failed to find most items or miss identified them. The other app is far superior. Now uninstalled.

Because this is exactly what I've been looking for. I love the options this gives to toggle front and back camera. This read my code in my bible book very accurately, and took me to the correct site. I use this for bible study with my book Ultimate Bible Guide, and there's codes in my book, which this read the codes perfectly... Thank You! And I love that I can save this app to the SD Card!

I have to screencap QR codes off of the internet. When I try to use the gallery function it always gives me a message that it could not detect the QR code in my image.

I used it to download a smartwatch application for then I could use it it's really useful and it helps it takes you directly through will you need a recommended app if you want to scan a QR code of downloading an app or just want to scan something and you're curious what the price tag

Wow it does what I needed paired up with a website that converts youtube songs no cable needed to get a good song for my no Internet times.

Seems to scan OK but then finds the actual product about third of the time. Just get a blank screen with a red bar across the top.

I was pretty surprised on the speed of this app. I went to scan QR code, I hadn't even focused picture completely and it had already scanned and sent me to destination. Very pleased with speed.

Without warning restarts my device. Bye dumb app
