About NoSurge - Avoid Surge

Avoid surge today! This app uses Uber's API to get fare estimates for places near you, and then maps out a grid of markers with the associated surge multipliers for calling a given Uber product at that location. You can use this app to see if there's somewhere a few blocks away from you that might have half the cost to get home.

**Requires user to have the Uber app installed in order to hail a ride from a given location**

This works for UberX, UberBlack, UberSUV, and any other Uber products in your region.

Drivers, you can also use this app to find places near you where there is the highest surge as to be able to increase your fares!

Uber's API limits the number of fare quotes on an hourly basis, so do not spam this app with requests, or you may find yourself temporarily unable to access the application.

***Note: while this app uses the official Uber API, it is not affiliated or endorsed with Uber in any way, shape, or form. All product names are used as returned by the Uber API, per the guidance of the official Uber API Design Guidelines***

I have been an Uber driver for a year and this is an essential app for both drivers and riders. For drivers, you can check the surge when you are on a trip so that if Uber sends you a request before you end your current trip, you know if there are surges around you and can better decide if it makes sense for you to accept a particular trip. Also, if you are waiting for a passenger, you know what opportunities you are passing up if they tell you they will be "just a few more minutes". For passengers, it tells you exactly what the surge is now that Uber doesn't tell you and you may be able to determine if you are in a area that is on the edge of a surge and help you to determine when to request a ride. I highly recommend this app.

The previous bugs reported by me earlier has already been fixed by the developer. Thanks for that. Today I am reporting a newly found bug, and I hope that the developer will rectify this one too. This app opens with the lowest fare value cab available in my region (Kolkata, India) by default, which is great. The issue is that when I move the map to somewhere else, let's say around 5-6 kms away, to see the surge rate of any different place for someone else, the default uber go (in my case) changes to uber x (when I am sure that uber go is present in that newly moved map area). It should stick to uber go, no matter wherever I move my map to (ofcourse only if uber go is available there). As this bug can accidentally lead us in booking a higher fare value cab.
