Knitmap - Yarn Store Finder

I think this is a great idea. There are just too many closed stores that still appear here as open. One store has been closed for over 5 years. Very disappointing. I would rate it higher if there were a way to let the site know when a local lys closes.

We travel a lot and I always visit yarn stores along the way. I've learned the hard way that yarn stores come and go so I always call before driving very far. In using this app I tried to use the "find stores near me" but it says I have to allow the app access to my location. Location services in on (android galaxy s5) and I can't find a place in the knit map app to change that setting. Help?

Fun, useful app to have when traveling. However, there are shops that have been closed for years that still appear on the app as open. There is no function to submit a 'closed shop' message to the app designers. NOTE: SONOMA YARN SHOP IN SONOMA, CA IS CLOSED. Knitters- Be sure to confirm online that a store is actually still in business to avoid wasting gas, time, and high hopes.

The site is always down, and there is no way to do feedback on the app. Lots of stores are closed, and it is frustrating to find that out after traveling to them. Fix the web site and them we can give you feedback!

What a great idea. However, when using it, I found that the information was often old and no longer valid. It would be great if closed shoppes were deleted from the app.

I love that I can find stores but I noticed that some stores are closed and some stores are not listed. If I had not gone to a fiber festival I would never have known about a beautiful shop in Alabama because they are not listed on here and I don't live in Alabama so I don't have word of mouth to rely on. Needs to remove the duplicates too. Some stores move and both addresses still show.

Rhode Island shops are very outdated. Many listed have been closed for years.

Great app. Been using it as we travel in Europe and have managed to get yarn souvenirs at all our major destinations thanks to the help and information on the app.

My shop moved last year and you have the old location. Many other stores have closed!

Many shops listed are no longer open (closed over 4 yrs). App needs to allow user updates.

Helped me enjoy my holiday more be enabling me to find off the beaten track yarn stores.

Used this app in Japan and in several US cities. Accurate addresses and directions.

This app has the potential to be really great but it incredibly out of date. There were so many stores listed that have closed.

As an avid yarn crafter..love this to find yarn stores anywhere I go!

This app listed 4 yarn stores near me. All of them have been closed for at least a couple of years. One store I know is open isn't even listed.

I find great yarn shops all over the US. (My husband does not love this as much as I do.)

Only works with an exact location - you can't do a radius search as far as I can tell. Other advice is to call the shop before you go as the only way shop closings are online is if someone posts it.

Pretty good, I live in the middle of a lot of cities so I wish the nearby search was a bit broader than to just the one. But it works out for the most part
