Mimix Sign Language Translator for Android
The Mimix avatar will interpret text/speech input in English and deliver real-time sign language translations, enabling easier communication with the deaf & hard of hearing community without having to know sign language.
The interpretation is based on the Signing English Exact (SEE)
Mimix is not meant to replace human SL interpreters, rather to make every-day communication with the deaf and hard of hearing community more accessible.
Two Way Communication
Mimix Sign Language Translator also translates text into spoken words, so the deaf person can write text using keyboard or sign language keyboard, which is then spoken and signed simultaneously.
Learn Sign Language
Mimix features a dictionary with over 5500 signs from the ASL, making it a great tool for anyone to learn the language from their phones.

When I type in a word, sometimes it just gives me the letters that spell that word out, but I don't want that. There are also a ton of wrong signs and I can't learn from them. Please fix this.
Signs words as individual letters not complete sentences or words. Not useful for conversation. Only useful in emergencies as communicating is 1 letter at a time, painfully arduous.
I installed this new app. I got to thinking that it would be even btr if I paid for the better version. I was wrong. You get mouthing more by paying than U get when U don't. It's hard 2 even share it via messenger. Very disappointed
Love it
Lots of fun
LOVE IT!!!!!!!! This app is an awesome idea! I'm a para-educator this app helps me to speak to our students when I don't remember the signs. Makes life so much easier for the whole class. Even the students are excited to be able to communicate with each other, this app helped bridge the gap between our hearing & non-hearing students! Granted it's not perfect but it is perfect for us! They are quickly working out the bugs as they go along, addressing each issue as it arises.
I've totally loved this app for my work and appreciated the expansion of the vocabulary, but would suggest some kind of "submit" button to prompt the translation after typing. This app and my phone's keyboard updated at the same time so I'm unsure which is causing the problem, but the result is that after I type the sentence I want translated, I have no way of making the app translate.
This app is so laggy and slow! I've tried translating a certain phrase twice and all I get is it repeated back to me while the avatar continues to give me a blank stare, frozen in the ending sign of the last phrase I asked it to translate. Apparently it can only translate phrases that it can spell out. Please fix!
Amazing simply amazing keep up the good work
I liked it and I'm surprised how good and accurate the signs are! I like how the avatar even makes facial expressions :) however, it does a lot of finger spelling even for words that there's already signs for like lonely and alphabet and awesome/amazing/any complimentary word. And also for the sign thank you the avatar says thank you then you. So technically she's saying thank you you.
Daily signs are nice, but some of them don't match when I search the signs from other sources. Maybe more information, for example what the English equivalent would be, would make it better. For now, I can't trust this app
I have learned so much! However I've learned more than asl in this app lol your mixing signs according to 10 deaf People I just communicated with. They said I was mixing asl and isl. I did purchase the app it's a great app but please review ur signs
I am interested about voice turned sign language with video. It is very important n useful for Deaf.
Really useful app, does future development include BSL?
I think this is a amazing app the only thing I can say if it could slow down a little
I wanted help with asl grammar but it was useful to help learn some signs
I love this app.
Good
Every little thing help when you're deaf. Thank u the only question I may have if I buy this and use it does the person on the other end of there cell phone would they had to have purchase it also to see my text message in Sign language or would they see it if they just download the free version thank you , and I'll be waiting on your answer.
Just got it and I like it so far.
Great app, I like the avatar and so far it is doing a pretty good job for me.
She signs too fast for me to see what she's doing. I wish there was a pause button
It has some signs, but other signs it finger spells, when I know that sign has its own specific sign (i.e. lonely). I paid $3.99 for the pro version and there's still a lot of finger spelling.
This app is very helpful my landlord is deaf and it will help me communicate wit him
I can't read the length of the opening screen and it takes a few minutes to load
Thank you for your great App. it is truly amazing. looking forward to seeing it in other languages.
This has been a huge help for my family.
Excellent form of communication when you're on the go. This APP has been beneficial to a few stranger's in need of help especially when they couldn't read my lips . Always worked when I needed it to .Developer gets 10 stars , but can't pay for upgrades , so how do I get that notice to pay from popping up all the time .
It really works it is the best
It's a great tool for communication, between Deaf & hearing.
This is a learning opportunity for better communication with deaf people.
Just got it and I like it so far.
The idea itself is amazing ..
Very cool app
Great app, I like the avatar and so far it is doing a pretty good job for me.
This is a very good app just not that crazy about the avatar it's a little jerky with the hand movements sometimes other than that this is a good app. I enjoy getting the word of the day .
She signs too fast for me to see what she's doing. I wish there was a pause button
Awesome app for learning signs or brushing up on ones you've forgotten. I especially like The Word of the Day feature and, with the new update, the ability to use voice rather than type a word. Lots of other improvements in the latest updates that make the app such a useful tool. I use it every day.

But, word like 'chess' is finger spelled. I would like more signs for being able to communicate with no much problem. Otherwise, the person who I'm talking with may get bored.
