DoF for Android
This is great! I used to use a little wheel thingy that expodisc made (I believe) but this is just a little bit better (the UI & the numeric display specifically). Thanks! Most devs would pack the screen with ads too, those are terribly distracting (especially for artistic pursuits). Gorgeous interface!
A very good DOF app. If your fundamentals are not clear, suggest you read the manual first.
WOW! This is one heck of a DoF chart! Incredible!
Does exactly what it says on the box. Lovely graphic interface is a joy to use once you've worked it out.
Still getting familiar with all that it can do but most useful to me for my landscape work.
After reading the manual it is an amazing app. Bravo!
Incredibly useful - but you have to already understand the interplay between aperture and depth of field (hey, it's geometry). If you don't already understand it, reading the help file will get you a good bit in the right direction. Hint: think of the way an acute triangle changes as you change the width of the base. Supports multiple ways of calculating "circle of confusion", profiles for different cameras, takes diffraction into account (and you can even specify the light color - diffraction's different if you're shooting IR. Free / no ads (and it's worth plenty) Thanks!
I like the interface, but it's confusing how to make adjustments. Would be best to have a lock button at the top of each column, then you could adjust things easier depending on your needs.
I haven't used a better tool to calculate depth of field, hyperfocal distance, etc. ever. It's easy, comes with a comprehensive manual which even includes formulas, it's more or less easy to use and has a desktop version. And it's free, which is something I find incredible for an app of this quality. Highly recommended, no doubt about it.
Great app! A bit tricky to understand what exactly is clickable and control settings as ranges close in on pixel sizes.
Like someone before me said, lockable dials would be better than buttons. Whole UI is a bit enigmatic.
Love the graphic interface. Best of all: no ads. Simple. Straight to the point
Very good but very technical, can be more user friendly.
Replaces all my other DoF apps!
Easy use
Thank you for this gift! Love that it's adfree! Beautifully done.
Brilliant...
Rules of thumb for DoF really don't work. Markings on lenses are not accurate enough. The viewfinder is too small to really see sharpness. This app does all the hard calculations for you. Also calculates diffraction loss of sharpness. Really good documentation as well. Free and no ads!
If I can't understand just a tiny bit on how to use an app within 10 minutes, it's gone. This is gone.
Really good. What would be the cherry on the top would be to display the Front, Back and Range distances on the main screen - at the top above the distance chart - after all - this is the depth of fields that has far more meaning than a visual. Need to do this for both the App and desktop version. Well done!
Very nice looking app!
Fast and intuitive DoF calculator
A fine DoF calculator. No adds. Single Page for 99% of the stuff. Took me too long to notice you can pinch zoom *only* on the right side of the DOF area, and move the distance on the left and middle side. Lens and blur can also be pinch scaled. I had to read most of the reference PDF to find out what blur meant (it's simply CoC = 1, 2 = blur is 2x CoC, etc) Would appreciate Speedbooster integration (so I don't have to set up different cameras for each booster) It would also be cool to see a conversion to pixel size of blur or % of captured image. Thanks for making this handy tool!
Amazing
Not just a different way of checking DOF but also a useful tool for stackers showing how to distribute images in a stack.

Fantastic app! Very functional, quick, interactive. Not very clear which sliders can be adjusted in different modes and which cannot - needs half an hour of playing around to get used to. Best thing for me is the ability to switch between the traditional "print based" definition of DoF and "image based" one that takes the number of megapixels into account. Perfect for portraiture but not easy to use for landscape (the relevant focus distance scale is too short on the screen), macro mode seems broken.
