•IMPORTANT
If you have free VMware vSphere lincense installed on ESXi/vCenter certain number of vSphere control features like power on/off, reboot etc. may not work for some ESXi/vCenter versions. This restriction is the official policy of VMware regarding all 3rd party vSphere clients.

Those who get “License Check Error” on app startup please check the following:
1. You are trying to launch the app being logged in to the same Google account used to purchase the app.
2. You have stable Internet connection - this is required only on first app startup.
3. You have recent version of Google Play™ app installed.

vmwPAD browses datastore mounts on ESX(i) over SSH protocol (the desktop client does it over HTTPS under root account), hence you have to be sure that the SSH server is running on ESX(i) and your account(s) is granted with corresponding permissions for the datastore file operations.

If you have any technical problems please email us to support@freeroam.me. Posting your troubles in the product reviews will not help us to investigate and fix them shortly.

Don't work, this connect to host but commands fails, shutdown host, view vm console

T70%
by T####:

It can connect to my esxi server and list the VM's but can power them on

T70%
by T####:

Feels like a tablet app on a phone. On my Note7, it is barely usable in terms of UX. It will do minor tasks like reboots, snapshots, etc. But remote console never works.

Q70%
by Q####:

Impressed by boss and almost never use my laptop now for ESXi managent!

L70%
by L####:

The app works well. I can connect to my esxi 5.5 vcenter. The only problem i have is that the notification will not go away. I don't think the app is still running, because it's not in my task manager, but it is annoying to have to reboot to remove the notification.

Turning off or restarting esxi vm's dies not work

T70%

Everything works great except vm console doesn't work on either of our vCenters "VM console connection error. Please rety".

Note 5!

For any IT manager

T70%

Would be 5 stars if the service could be closed, didn't require internet to load and support for Microsoft rep app

T70%
by T####:

Great features, horrible design. Needs FC to close application.

Z70%
by Z####:

It mainly does what I need it to do but two issues are apparent. First, as mentioned by other reviewers, the app does not close properly. Requires force closing to avoid it running in the background. Second, the console never seem to open, just sits there at loading. Any suggestions?

S70%
by S####:

Stays running even when you exit the app. I guess it's better than nothing, but I really dislike it taking up memory and can if I don't need it running.

S70%
by S####:

Connects and shows status but can't add new vm's to the inventory. When browsing a data store you can't copy/paste files only move. So no cloning on the free esxi.

Q70%
by Q####:

Like the app, connects to my dedicated and works as expected. Problem is when your done and disconnect from your server and exit out of the app the app is still running and listed in notifications on my moto-x gen2 xt1096 on android 4.4.4 ..Appears the only way to get it to fully turn off is to restart my phone.. :( ..I will increase rating to 5 stars if you fix it!

Possibly the best Android App for managing VMware platform currently. Does not work running under the ART runtime which may be a problem when Android L is launched soon.

Cant power on VPS ??? ... Console commands dont work. :( The only thing i can do is loggin to the ESXI server, Did I just waste a buck on this :/

N70%

These features are low, don't waste money. For what it is, it's ok.

B70%
by B####:

Waste of money no options no vm console view too much limited

R70%
by R####:

I was hoping for a few more features. I was a little disappointed that one cannot create a VM. UI is a bit cramped for a phone, even the Note 3. Perhaps better suited for a tablet.

The license check is very intrusive. Every time I start the app the license verification fails and I have to retry. For an 1$ app (which is btw worth it) its a bit annoying.

Works great!

Purchased app to edit VMs settings. Crashes and restarts when trying to. Everything else works nicely. Nexus 7 Tablet. Sent error report. Uninstalled 2 minutes after dl. I might as well pull up the web GUI for vcenter. Minor waste of time. Took me longer to write the review. Gave three stars for what does work (which is a lot), but I have a free app that does the same thing, minus the "edit VM settings" I would like a refund.

X70%
by X####:

Not bad, but lack of filters (like 'show running vms only') makes it almost useless for datacenters with big number of VMs.

Works fine on the SIII but FC on the Note 10.1 tab. please fix soooon......i dont want to send a screenshot of a FC for refund Dev should just refund because its only for phones not "PAD" EDIT. DEV did fix the FC for JB on Note10, but still has some memory leaks and doesnt really close when app asks to exit, no biggie at this point. Dev is none US and you can tell due to comma use instead of period to denote drive sizes. At this point started at 1 star uping to 3 due to useablility increase.

One of the best esx(i) clients avliable for android, however gui defunatly needs a refresh (suport higher res) and console client doesent work. Not a great app, but better than the alternatives.
