Blips - Melody Maker

One of the best apps for making little tunes. I couldn't think of a melody for the songs I was making, so I searched "melody generator" and I came across this app. Now, with only 6 instruments, 8 beats and 90-400bpm range, it may not seem like much, but that's just the beginning. I jotted a random melody down and said, "not too bad!" And so, I sat down and started fine-tuning the ditty I came up with until I got it sounding just right. even though it's simple, it's effective. Great app! Five stars.

This is the only app in which I actually come up with something! But please, can you add an additional set of 8x8 squares

Not bad, basic but not too much so, some suggestions I would have are: adjustable grid size with zoom, as more then an eight note variation and length would be a nice option, I would even totally pay a couple bucks for a premium version if it had that; orientation needs fixing, it forces portrait but switches to landscape when saving; precise adjustment of bpm is needed, just typing it out as an option. Additional more advanced features I would love to see: adjusting the length of each note played, likely on a column by column basis; playing multiple melodies in unison, if not having multiple grids up at the same time to play and edit in unison, with varying instruments and perhaps bpm, as well as playing multiple melodies consecutively, a macro editor for working multiple saved melodies together sounds like a great idea in fact. Might be a bit much, but I can dream.

Could you please add a save button to the phone so whenever I want to make a video, I want to use the song I create.

Only because it requires no permissions. I respect that.

Simple and quick interface, but no way to write longer melodies. Please add pages or a way to extend it.

was looking for something to use for when a random melody came to mind at work. This does the job well enough to meet my standards. 5/5....only thing I would change is to allow more accurate bpm adjustment.

Please add an option to add more bars and MIDI export.

This is perfect for inspiration, I've already wrote 2 whole songs based on simple melodies. Keep up the good work! Would like to see 4 bars instead of 2 though, then I'd rate 5-1/2 stars.

Very nice app. I would love to see some extra functions in the future though. An option to save your melodies as mp3 perhaps. Also, Longer melodies and the option to use different instruments simultaneously. These are just suggestions though. Thanks for making the app!
