AppRadio Unchained Rootless for Android
Works as promised. Went from the original appradio unchained, to beta testing reloaded, to rootless. All have worked well. This is how the pioneer product should have worked from the beginning.
Not sure why companies feel the need to invent a high end product and control the consumer's full access to their 100% owned property. Appradio 3 + Galaxy s6, s7 & s8 buyers suffered a great deal as a result (discontinuation of MHL technology), so here's a big THANK YOU to the genius App designer of this app. Thank you for giving me back something that I paid and worked hard for. Not only that, but you enhanced the product unspeakably, all for 20 dollars & some change. Your mind will forever be appreciated and respected my friend.
Funciona excelente con Galaxy S8+ y AVH-X8500BHS!!! Altamente recomendable sin tener que rootear el telefono, el adaptador que use fue este Cable Matters USB 3.1 Type C (USB-C & Thunderbolt 3 Port Compatible) to HDMI 4K 60Hz UHD Adapter in Black
Works with Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920T with the NRD90M.G920TUES5EQG1 build of Andoid 7.0 and Pioneer AVH-4200NEX. Unfortunately since my phone has a hardware home button I have to use my phone to return to the home screen. The resistive touchscreen on the stereo leaves much to be desired. These are not shortcomings of this app, but my experienced would have been vastly improved by by using different hardware.
Works as promised. The Pioneer headunit should have come this way originally. Thankfully Area51 is around to make things right! Hardware: LG V20 (VS995), Pioneer AVH‑4200NEX, Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter v2. I was thinking about rooting my phone to get around the input limit in Android Auto, but full mirroring is better anyway, and I like to avoid rooting my phone if I can help it. I have a f qualms with the setup but the app is not at fault for either. One is that there is a delay between my input and the phone responding. In part, this is due to using a wireless setup, and in part its the nature of how input is handled through this setup. The other is that there is no way to automate wireless screen sharing. To get around this, I created a macro in the app "Macroandroid" launching a shortcut using the app "Quick Shortcut Maker" to the screen sharing settings, triggered by when my phone connects to the bluetooth on the 4200NEX. This at least brings up the toggle to enable screen-sharing quickly. The other issue is that there seems to be no way to turn the screen on the phone completely off while screen sharing.
Don't usually review apps on here but this one warrants special mention because it is so slick and well put together. Great support too. My appradio is fully functional again because of this.
Works on unrooted S7 Edge perfectly with full mirroring using miracast and Avic F88dab. Thank you.
Platinum support from the developer. Worked on my unrooted note 5 and my S8+ I now get full support of my phone using screen beem mini 2 and 4200nex.
Works well with samsung s8. Support from developers was great and always replied to my questions
Most of the time it won't connect. Not worth the 29$. If it connected every single time then it would be worth 29$
Any chance of being able to remap the buttons? The only downside of this version compared to the root version.
Thank you for doing Pioneer's job :)
Top notch support from the developer
Great app, working with ScreenBeam2, Pioneer 8200, and Samsung Galaxy S8.
It worked but half my screen was cut off and couldn't get to the apps

Been a long time user of arunchained with a rooted HTC one X, switched to a non rooted Samsung Galaxy s8 so moved to this app. What can I say but fantastic, great support from the developer over on xdadevelopers, after a bit of fiddling it works perfectly with my phone connected to a screenbeam mini 2 and pioneer appradio 3. Start the car and within 30 seconds my phone is completely mirrored on the head unit.
