AppRadio Unchained Reloaded

Great app! Had to get a new phone so it would work, as micro USB to HDMI was not compatible on my old phone. I was do for an upgrade anyway. If you have an appradio this app opens it up like it should have been from the factory. Just an amazing app! Thank You

I was on the verge of ripping out my 8200NEX and installing a tablet (with all the fun that can entail on modern cars) until I came across this app. Now I've found a purpose for my old S3 AND unlocked the functionality I was looking for out of Android Auto. This is seriously great.

Works great! Unfortunatly my phone is not compatible to be rooted yet sm-g900v. So i cannot use the functions on my new device however ive seen it work and as long as you can root your phone it works like a charm

I recently upgraded to the Samsung 7, my configuration utilizes a Chromecast to wirelessly cast and connect. For this to work I have to manually turn on casting through the google home app. This is because the S7 automatically uses "Smart View" instead which turns off my Wi-Fi hotspot which is necessary for casting. Can you please find a way to have AIR automatically connect to casting using the Google Cast function instead of Smart View? Please contact me if you need more info. Update: Thank you for the quick response, right now I can get this to work With ARU, Wi-Fi hotspot ON, and Cast on through Google Home (this google casting leaves hotspot on unlike Samsung smart view), and all works great...it's just a pain with all the clicks. It would be great to have this incorporated into the app if possible to make the interaction cleaner.

Last update to 0.31 is awesome. The worked connection handling works perfect. Even without root, I use it for the superior sound HDMI provides. Recommended 10+

It works amazing on my S5 but I just ordered a s8 I read on another review you said there is a root less version. Will it work with the s8?

I have 2017 corvette with a BOSE system. I presently use ANDROID AUTO. I rooted my phone and paid $30.00 today. I even uninstalled Android Auto.... I can NOT get it to work. I even read the manual. Very confusing. Please help. Or send refund information.

Rooted my phone just for this app and payed for the app. App gets stuck in searching for connection and will not register with the radio. Complete waste of $26.

Not sure if the rootless version of this app works with a lgv20 also where can I get it?

Bought this a few hours ago and cannot find where or how to root my Samsung galaxy s7 edge without triggering knox? Will a version which doesn't require a root be available at all? Or any instructions on how to make the app work? If not please can you refund please? Also I have tried this with a chromecast but maybe I need a different adapt for the s7 instead? Sounds like the app is brilliant just a shame I can't figure out how to get it work. Any help appreciated! Update. 13.1.17. Sent via email

This app is everything app radio should have been, and what every other company should be trying to achieve with cell phone integration and control in car audio/video! Easily worth every penny! Not only is the app fantastic, the support from the developer cannot be beat either! Well done!!! Using AVH-4100NEX with Samsung S5

This application does a fantastic job of establishing a reliable connection with compatible AppRadio head units. On top of that, the developer is extremely prompt in getting back to users to help them troubleshoot their problems. A+ for both product and service. Easily worth the money.

Works great with my AppRadio 4 (SPH-DA120). As I don't have a phone that's capable of SlimPort or MHL I've used my old rooted 2013 Nexus 7. Apart for some bluetooth issues which is down to the UK head unit only having firmware version 1.08 instead of the US having 1.11.

Start and stop are clickable. But nothing happens when I click 'ar home'. The farthest I can get it to go is 'waiting for HDMI signal'. Wanting to get to AR Home to try and toggle some settings.

Using Google Chrome cast, hdmi mirroring perfect, when switch to appradio to allow me control the Image doesn't fit on the radio, hope you fix it!

perfect control of phone via wireless hdmi from 8000nex touchscreen. if I could add features i would want 1. control degree of dimming when dim screen is selected (hard to see linked phone in direct sun but i am a blind oldbastard )app should just turn dimming off on phone screen input then turn back on after timer 2. remember last known good screencast and autoconnect on app activation

Works great with my Pioneer AVH-X8700BT and Nexus 6p. Now i have it all, Android Auto, Apple Car Play and App Radio, how awesome is that. One Question though: Is it draining battery, when the app is always running in the BG? Because even when App is closed, it shows me the Notification Card for the BT Connection being ready.. Gives me the feeling that the app is always working in the Background. Other than that, great work! appreciated. Can finally use Sygic Navigation for my Roadtrip. Thx

Have a Samsung galaxy alpha and it will not do anything but connect Bluetooth audio which was all that it would do before I purchased this app. Downloaded this app cause all I heard were good things about itbut when I press start all it says is listening for connection. I emailed support they responded once I told them what was happening and never got a reply back.

using it on my rooted samsung s5. works great touch works. response is fast. only issue i had was bottom of home screen and app menu was cut off. but the developer left me a message to use a different launcher like nova launcher. just tested it and everything is working great now. no more cut off screen. thanks for fast reply

I have a galaxy s6 with marshmallow update 6.0.1 . I have screenbeam 2, I have the aru app, everything works except the touch screen option on my appradio 3. Is there a way I can make it work? I can't seem to find how to root my device if it's already upto date. Any feedback will help. Thanks in advance

Can not get this to work with my Note 5. Emailed developer for support and haven't got a response. I emailed to try to take care of it . But obviously you would rather ignore my emails . That is why the 2 stars. Never worked and never got any support back. Waste of money

This program does what I have dreamed of - my phone navigation linked to my car head unit with touch support. I struggled with the details of rooting my phone, installing a custom ROM, and generally having little idea what I was doing. After not quite being able to get this to work I sent a quick email to the developer with my build and problems. Response time was under 3 hours in the middle of the night/morning. Now it's working great and I'm extremely pleased with my experience.

Doesnt work well for my setup Galaxy S5 & DA120. Home screen is always in Portrait mode (Tried Nova & Apex launcher and same prob). Touch screen not always responsive and would need reboot to get working. Sure it is amazing if it works for you

Great app and great support. Works perfectly with my LG G3. If you're using a slimport adapter my recommendation is to buy the *Official* slimport adapter by Analogix. Don't waste your time and money with cheap brands or your connection may be intermittent and therefore useless. Would love to see support for the AppRadio microphone so I could make calls and use Google voice search. Update: I don't know if there was an update or if I just figured out how to make it work but now I can initiate calls and use the mic from within the app. :)

After my S5 has upgraded to 6.0, while system app and mock location are checked the GPS function is not injecting. Can please help repair this?

Hi I've seen this app works treat for many users but am having few issues I've just purchased this app and I've got app radio 2 and am using Samsung s6 connected through mhl adapter hdmi all correct way also rooted the phone as advised am still having problems working it if you can help me that will be much appreciated... still can't get it to work Any chance if refund don't think it works with s6 kind regards Younis

The GPS from the radio is not working I have already selected allow mock locations but when I try using Google Maps it doesn't seem to pick up my location and takes a while loading. The Rectory up radio shows that I have a strong GPS signal but it doesn't get picked up on my phone when using Google Maps other than that the app is really good

Useing a Galaxy Note 4 via Chromecast and cannot get touch to work. Allows me to hit the dots on calibration bit no other touches are doing anything

Got my old note 2 rooted, hooked up chromecast to the appradio 2. I ain't no techie, but after a little fiddling got it working.... brilliant!! Just one question for the developer, when I turn off the engine. And then turn back on, I then go back into the cast app to recast my screen. Is there a way of the phone automatically casting? So I don't have to keep doing it when switching off the engine. Thanks in advance, sorry for being dumb lol. Fantastic app. Would highly recommend

After a recent update my double din radio stop working. It doesn't respond to any touch. Galaxy s4 and app radio. Can you please fix it?

Running aru 4.4.2 w/moar Rom and works great when mhl is connected but the mhl adapters for galaxy phones are crap. Trying to use chromecast instead. Phone connects to chromecast and screen casts but can't get aru to connect and just says waiting for hdmi connection. I know it has something to do with the phone but any idea how I can get aru to connect without having to physically connect the mhl adapter? Thanks

Phone in pocket > turn car on > BT connects > tasker script runs > Nexus 6P connects to Miracast in glovebox > ARUR connects = phone mirrored to AVIC-8000NEX head unit. Fantastic.

I am so excited to try this at my honda city 2016 (malaysia), i buy android stick rkm 802 iv, then i install this.. but the boot screen at my car audio display still not change.. i dont know how to change the setting like you wrote in note..

Works as advertised with my verizon galaxy s4 i545 lollipop rooted and sph da120! Loving having unrestricted access to all apps through interface on head unit! Highly recommended!
