Rain Sounds - Sleep Ambiance

I cant put into words the relax the peace the healing this brings. Not to mention this brings rain to me in the ral world. Since ive had this app i can seem to almost call the storms just by keeping this on when im resting or even just for creative thought. Its awsome. Bluetooth it and you will see. Its amazing. Puts my babies to sleep near instantly.

This app ONLY does a great sounding rain (no fan, white noise, ocean waves, etc). The thunder and lightning options are nice but I really don't understand how they operate. I don't notice a difference in setting intensity and the lightning and thunder seem to be opposite on the effects. The visual is nice and hypnotizing. Again, if you ONLY want a rain sound it's very realistic sounding.

The rain sounds very real. This app offers a variety of thunder, rain intensity & lightning possibilities. I like that I can listen to the rain while my music plays at the same time. This app has never crashed on me. I've used it more than 100 nights with no problems.

I use this on my Moto Z to fall asleep at night. It's a perfect balance of customizable, without unnecessary frills or too many options. No notable difference in sound as the track loops. I upgraded to eliminate on screen ads, but it wasn't necessary to enjoy the app. I just preferred the cleaner look.

I have trawled thru so many apps and YouTube tracks but this is the one I always come back to when I can't quite find the perfect audio I'm looking for. Puts me out like a light every time. Thanks guys!

Totally calming and great value for the price point. Realistic and brings back pleasant memories of childhood nights, with Windows open, listening to rain as we drift off to sleep, and the smell of rain/ozone wafting through the screens. Beautiful.

Its been months and i still listen to this every single night to fall asleep. Can't sleep without it now This app doesn't take up much storage space, and the sounds feel so real. The added features for lightening using your camera flash is awesome but scared the crap out of me the first time. Lol. Love this app! Would give it 10 stars if I could!

At one time I rated this app a 5 but over that last 5 mo or so I can't seem to keep it on. It stops for no reason. I can't rely on it anymore. I've Uninstalled and updated and made sure the timer was off but still no dice. It's gotten to the point I don't even use it anymore. For now I would not recommend unless you only need it to run 20min or less.

I have had this app for months and absolutely loved it. But it has all of a sudden developed a studdering sound!! Every five to ten seconds it cuts out then in again. Clicked on Audio Sound Buffering in settings as suggested in someone else's review but it has made it twice as bad. Not sure what else I could do to fix it. But I know I can't use the app anymore until it's fixed.

I like it but lately ive had several annoying issues w the app.....I constantly get these weird abrupt/startling skips (only way I can describe) which is enough to jolt u out of sleep if you have just drifted off. Also lately the whole app will just stop and shut off. I'll have to take my phone and go thru and turn it back on manually....which means I have to get blinded by the light of my screen which wakes u up even more.

This has been helping me with my fear of thunder! Only thing I recremend is that don't leave it with the flash on for to long. It will get hot. Either way it's a great app!

Audio track buffering feature lets me use this for sleeping without annoying gaps in sound to wake me up. Only free app I've found that does this!

It really helps me fall asleep, I love the settings you can control. I highly recommend this to people that have a hard time falling asleep and need rain/thunder to fall asleep to. You can control how often you thunder and how hard you want your rain.

Actually I wanted windchimes. The download for windchimes worked but oddly enough windchimes crapped out during the installation process. I think I'll try it again.

I love how the rain and thunder sounds natural. It reminds me of summer storms. It helps me relax after a long day at work. I have listened to it on a day off and I like how when it's ending it fades out like a storm is moving on. I love this app.

I like the lightning effects that can be changed between my screen and my cameras flash. It's incredibly relaxing to listen to this before I go to sleep. I love the sound of rain and storms. Thank you for an amazing free app

One of the best. I can not sleep without some sort of white nosies. So I have had many rain sound devices and apps. This is better than Rainy mood. And the added "lighting" is a nice touch.

It helps so much to block out the outside noise. I use it every single night and have it on several electronics so I always have a backup.

Downloaded it for my husband since he has to sleep with noise. He loves it and it doesn't suck a lot of your battery. Shuts off whenever you want. It's the best and nice and peaceful.

Best app ever. Great sound supported by something never seen before: a video! You must know that there is only one sound with different settings. Wait until you see real life thunderstorms...

I have a new Samsung S7 phone. I bought the app to avoid the ads. Very pleased with the rain sounds, and thunder and lightning are really good if you want those. My only "issue" (which was not an app problem and turned out to be easily fixable) was that about every 14 or 15 seconds there was a fraction-of-a-second pause in the sound. That was distracting. Reading the reviews I learned that could be eliminated in the app "settings" by checking the box for buffering. Did that-- problem solved. So 5 stars.

I am trying to rest but I keep hearing the sound of footsteps in the track which can also be creepy as well as distracting. Please remove the footstep sounds and it will be perfect, thanks!

Runs in the background, great for reading, or as relaxing alternative for trashy game-music loops. Can undermix music or audio-books for ambiance perfectly. Has full separate volume controls for mixing and fine-tuning levels. Not just for sleeping, but perfect for working or increasing focus when studying. Use this to block out other annoying sounds, like fluorescent lights, co-workers, boss, or neighbours (works best with noise-cancelling headsets). I am impressed with the length, and quality of the sound, even there is only rain. The portability of Android devices means having your own little rain storm to carry with you!

I can't get to sleep without some sort of noise and YouTube would heat my phone up because it can't do background sound so I have to keep it on but with this I can . It even better how it doesn't restrict you to one sound . The visual lightning is awesome as well .

What I like is the good attention to detail when making the recordings seamless. Normally hearing the beginning of a loop is noticable and therefore annoying, but not with this app. ONLY rain sounds though.

As per the description, my phone was red hot after 3 hours of this app going. It helps me sleep, but can really be dangerous. Keep that in mind when using this app.

The rain is wonderful, but after about a minute or 2 it'll do this skip. It's barely noticeable unless it's the only noise or you have headphones on. Great app otherwise!

I'd had trouble sleeping for 6 months until I found this beauty of an app. It's like having my own little thunderstorm in my room at night. Great work guys.

I don't make it beyond 5 or so minutes before I fall asleep and it turns itself off while I'm dreaming. I also sometimes use it when I have anxiety.

this is my go to rain app. always a great soothing way to fall off to sleep or curl up to read a book in the afternoon..very relaxing!!! *i love the timer feature

Able to personalize the settings including frequency of lightning and thunder, lights on or off, volume, all of it! Excellent for drifting off to sleep with the timer. Wish I had found this app sooner!

I downloaded this app while out of town, staying in a hotel with what sounded like a herd of elephants staying above me. This app canceled out their stomping and soothed me right to sleep both nights!

10 second loop 2 noticeable now, simple, and compact at 7mb. In the paid version Ram usage 28-33mb, cpu usage 0 to 0.2% (free version with ads ram 50+ usage and cpu usage around10-12%). Translation, this doesn't drain the battery for the options provided if you spend 99 cents. Try before you buy.

Since the last update, there are skips and momentary stops in the rain sound. It has been ruined. I can't listen to it now. I used to love it.

Helps me with waking more easily from naps, but the sensors and software aren't always accurate for my real sleep, maybe because of my CPAP device or my girlfriend snores? Also log doesn't allow create a record of each sleep...

Turning on the audio track buffering to eliminate the gap in playback now makes this an awesome app. Throw on an eye mask and I'm gone!

OK, it only does rain and thunder but it does them better than most. The rain sound has some compression artifacts, especially on the higher settings, but you get used to it on the two lower levels. The thunder is brilliant: varied and rumbling. The lightning is a bit over the top for my purposes but well done. I like the timer function, too. Overall definitely worth a try if you like rain and/or thunder

I discovered this several months ago and absolutely LOVE it. Haven't ever looked at others to compare it to because this one is perfect for me. I had a problem with the sound skipping a month or two ago, and got a very quick reply when I wrote about it in a review. There's nothing I would change about this app. I love that there is a timer and that you can control the frequency and severity of the different elements, such as changing from a light rain to a full storm. I love this app!
