AndExplorerPro (file manager) for Android
This is a reliable, easy-to-use file manager with an intuitive interface. It also does not ask for a lot of un-necessary permissions.
No root user access cannot copy paste a file what is this a viewer or manager???
Hi, I like this app. Two features I would like. One, a recycle bin. Two, the option in search pane to click on a file and see details (i.e. path name). It looks like it will work, but then when you click on details it throws an error that says "please select only one file. This happens even if only one file is selected from the search results. Also needs cut and paste from search field results. Had to reinstall after Marshmallow upgrade. Thanks. God bless. Aaron
When I switched from Windows Mobile ™ to Android ™ the sales guy downloaded this without even asking. I'm very happy he did as this was / is an app that's very helpful and essential when beginning and using an Android device.

Best closet to Windows I've found
Switched to the ZenUI file manager since this one can't write to external SD.
However, the search feature is worthless... so stick with the free version.

Very good, except useless with SD card
this is or was 5 star, hands down. totally awesome as no root required to rename file extensions like .jpg etc not sure if update issue or I'm just not on lollipop yet but this function has stopped working. I can't even delete files now. definitely back to 5 stars if this can be addressed. apologies to the dev if it is my device. I'm on galaxy s4. thinking of changing to nexus 6. cheers.
My go-to file manager, and thr ftp and smb apps are fantastic too.
Totally dependable (free version, 3 years of use, currently purchasing pay version). DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP IF YOU ARE CARELESS! It is so easy to use that it is also easy to, say, delete a file unintentionally if you are inattentive. But otherwise this is a low-footprint, high-reliability means of finding and managing files on your device including storage card. I was about to install the very fat ES File Manager today when I realized that - while Andexplorer doesn't explicitly support the folder-shortcut capacity I was considering - all I had to do was to make its "Home Location" option the only folder to which I really needed a shortcut, anyway, then stick an AndExplorer shortcut where I can get at it easily.
I used this all the time--much more intuitive than Samsung's pre-installed schlock. But now it's unable to delete files and folders from the external SD card.

Loving the new update great app well done dev.
I don't think I'd be able to use my Nexus 7 without this app: it is so vital that I think of it as being built in, forgetting that I actually had to download it from Play Store! It has been on all my Android devices, from my very first phone and downloading it is part of my setting up process for a new device. I bought the paid version just to support a good developer.
Very good.
Top notch.
Perfect.
Yes yes
Great file manager
SOLID App
I've used this for 2 years, pro for 1 year. It's very straightforward without complicating bells n whistles; you can look at hidden files etc. But since I upgraded my note [original] ,from ics to jellybean, pro version has been failing to launch. I've had to uninstall and re-install several times. So 4 not 5 stars
This not actually worst I try yet

Won't remember my place in a list of files or email me back about a fix. Barely worth using.

Best file manager for Android I have seen.
Uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times before I realized AEP won't display correctly on GNex ICS 4.0.2 if forced GPU rendering is enabled. Symptom is page is displayed fractionally small - much too small to view.
Love it ! ! !
5* again. It is fixed and very good communication. :)
