You can scan receipts, books, school tests, bills and business cards with FastOCR.
The reason this app is so fast is that OCR is performed directly on the phone without using an outside server. This makes your information more secure and confidential than other OCR apps. Your privacy is respected.
Another innovation is the ability to select parts of the scan with your finger so that you only recognize whichever parts of the scanned document that you want to.

It showed “Downloading first time only. Please wait”, when first run, and after each time I tried to have it scan a photo. It never actually “downloaded” anything. So the “first time only” happened three times, and after each attempt, it just dropped back into “Select Image Source”. It's a complete waste of time, zero stars. Uninstalled.

The free version won't load pics !- Photos taken with camera are saved so can't open them. No good, will now uninstall.

i cannot select from gallery, it said you can select images out of your gallery if you upgrade to the full version!
