The Lost Books of the Bible by Rutherford H. Platt, Jr., 1926

Lost Books of the Bible is a collection of New Testament Apocrypha, including many works which were admired and read by the early Christians, but which were later excluded from the canonical Bible. It includes accounts of the young Jesus, particularly the Gospel of Mary and the Protevangelion, which provides additional folklore about the birth and youthful adventures of Jesus and which are missing now. Of note are the letters of Paul and Seneca, and the letters of Herod and Pilate, which are most likely a forgery, but add more depth to the question of the historicity of Jesus. There are also a number of non-canonical epistles, such as Laodiceans. Also worth a close read are the three books of the Shepherd of Hermas, which uses apocalyptic and symbolic imagery. This collection is an invaluable selection of portions of the New Testament which illustrates the fluid nature of the early Biblical canon, and provides access to all of the 'spare parts.'

This is a popularized translation of the OT pseudepigrapha, quasi-Biblical writings which never achieved canonical status (or inclusion in any of the official Apocrypha). This isn't to say that these documents are forgeries, just that for one reason or another they were not considered part of the Biblical text by the first millenium (C.E.) compilers. This book contains translations of all of the texts found in volume I of the weighty Oxford University Press Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha, without any of the apparatus.

BEWARE Christians... These are Heretical Books. False truth. You gain no real knowledge from this, only false writings. NOT lost books of the bible. This book was declared heretical books by the Early Church Fathers. Because the Scripture is enough, and these books are not 'lost books of the Bible' instead a myth book and it perverts the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)

Only problem I have is, the book of Enoch has 109 chapters, in the app there's only 59 which other books areshortened to fit in app just curious

There's a lot of books people are suggesting to you guys! How about "The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ"(by Levi H. Dowling)?? The AG, or "new age gospel", would be a great fit for this app, considering that it contains the fullest and most complete story of Jesus' life. It is a very good book, and is very important to my own personal faith.

What people don't realize is that the original Bible was written by the supposedly religious people of the day via THE APPROVAL OF THE ROMAN GOVERNMENT MEANING THE EMPEROR. IF YOU STUDY ROMAN PAGANISM, THE STATUS OF THE POPE WAS THE VERY SAME PERSON WHO WAS OVER THE CELESTIAL FIRE OF ROME THAT ALSO HAD VIRGIN PRIESTESS WHO COULD NEVER ALLOW THE FIRE TO BURN OUT BY PENALTY OF DEATH. There are many books wherein some chapters skip a lot of verses. It would leap from verse 26 to 37, for example. I looked the book up on the Internet to compare the content and found that this app just leaves some things out.

The knowledge that you can obtain from this is priceless. I encourage ALL of my fellow believers to get this. We miss a lot of Christ's life in our "canonized" bible...this can help fill some gaps and answer INNUMEROUS questions we ask.
