Cocoon - Whole Home Security.

I've used other home security apps before along with their cameras but Cocoon's home security app is definitely the only one that works properly! It alerts me on time for every event and allows me to see the live feed when i want to. Great simple design and easy to find everything to do! Loses one star because of no user management but will update to five stars when they release user management. Edit: They did say they will be releasing user management some point soon.

Camera: Really pleased with this now that it's adjusted to our home. The microphone is amazingly sensitive and it even pics up conversations people are having on the road outside our house - crazy! App: the devs seem very active and are releasing quality updates. There's still some work to do but it's working nicely as is. Recommended.

Had no problems and now our Cocoon has adapted to our flat, it's working very well. App is minimal and effective, only change I'd like to see is being able to adjust the geo-fence - our local is very close to my home and so it doesn't arm automatically when we're out but still nearby.

First Canadian to of imported one I believe & hope. For the record I was not paid to write this. This little contraption is more than just an amazing security device, its truly a one system set-up that does all I want & need. Live video is delayed barely though, 10 seconds at most. Records continuous so in a moment of intrusion there's a prior, during & after recording the incident. Unless you're watching live or have your smartphone in hand at the time. Audio is quite good! Very intense & accurate. Siren works well!! My boyfriend sounded it.. jerk. Could be a bit louder but still very shocking :P Very neat design, classy and elegant. Small and simple, literally the size of a cricket ball. Great wide view of the house & all entry points. No cons honestly, just things to work on; Great little company and the customer service rocks!! Future Improvements: - smartphone display features could have a bit more variety colors, viewing preferences, - desktop view & or email notifications regarding incidents - Cocoon colours for customization ;) - potential guest access for an allotted time (timer for access to my cocoon for friends and family) Overall: Its a little smart eye!!

The Cocoon app is ok. It certainly feels more responsive than when it was in the beta trial but its still really lacking good design considerations. Most annoyingly is that a notification stays open to say that Cocoon is running. Its not the correct use of a notification and go against the Material guidelines. I've just set my Cocoon up so I'm still waiting to see how it learns and adapts over time. I will update my review when in coming months.

After several weeks with the camera, I absolutely would not trust it for security. You can buy several vastly better Canary cameras for less than the price of one Cocoon. The Cocoon suffers from regular false positives, false negatives (!!!), and when it does detect entry correctly, it begins recording as the person is exiting (our dog walker in our case), so video is of the back of her head. Useless for evidence to provide police. Siren is also too easy to accidentally activate. Oh, and videos don't load.

A few teething problems with false alerts but it's slick, easy to use and the video loads quickly on demand. They seem to be updating the app quite regularly as well.

Had Cocoon protecting our home for a week now - it's great to be able to check in on things when we're not there. Looking forward to seeing more new features.

Unfortunately this is another crowd funded nightmare. The whole subzonic blahblah does not work. You just get up to a dozen false alarms a day! The camera angle/wide shot is of bad quality and screen size too small. No zooming in or anything else that could help. Night vision kicks in too early with still a lot of light so you have only a bad black and white view most of a 24 h period. The worst is that you must turn on location for device to be able to run cocoon which is a big security risk!

Too many false alarms! Also I'm using a mobile WiFi system and the long video clips it sends (15 mins of an empty room on occasion) are eating up my usage package. Shame really as picture quality is brilliant and concept is excellent. I live in an apartment block and a door closing anywhere or child shouting seems to activate it.

Really intuitive interface. Keeps me up to date with what's going on in my house, whether that's expected or unexpected visitors! (Plus I can keep and eye on the dog.)

Great for home security. Recording image and sound is good, even has IR! Had fun showing it off at work

Great product, great app.

Being able to check in on my home while I'm away is great and it's really reassuring to be alerted if the Cocoon device picks up any activity - though, thankfully, there's been nothing to worry about so far! It still seems to be early days for this app, but I'm really excited to see what else will be possible in the future!

The latest version adding 7 days review of events, subsound visualisation and siren activation is a big step forward. Well done team.
