Leica DISTO™ transfer for Android
Spreadsheet needs cell clear button. Need cr between length and angle then up and tab so it goes back up to next cell ie b1 then b2 get data then moves to c1 for next set. That would help greatly. Other than that, it works.
Droid 2.3.4. Will not tranfer measurements to the app as shown on the screen of the Disto D8. Disto D8 is set to display in 16ths of an inch. The tranfered data is displayed in 32nds of an inch. A "display measurements as" setting in app would be nice
Fails to connect
good help at work
Disto 510 can be seen by bluetooth in phone (which is more than can be said for nexus 7 tablet or old xperia phone) then just says "failed to connect" which isn't particularly helpful. Feb '14 update, android 4.3 doesn't fix the problem. Android 4.4 and disto releases july 14 still exactly the same useless messages! I despair! HANG ABOUT.... Leica disto transfer bt le has started working now... Doesnt work if this app not installed (cant find disto) bur together almost a solution!
Good Spp. Thc
Fails to connect to both note3 and HTC one. Very poor BT implementation. Strangely, the sister app (sketch) connects OK but crashes so much that it may as well not bother.
The Disto E7500i will not connect to the Galaxy note 2. This sucks considering it is a premium phone ;(

So far, I am very disappointed in this app. I am using it to sync up with a Nexus 7 tablet to take numerous vertical distance measurements. Although the app appears to connect to the tablet fine, it will occasionally drop the connection during data collection making it difficult to impossible to figure out where the last measurement was taken. Additionally, and most frustrating, the app will randomly shut down giving the message, "Unfortunately, this app has stopped", causing all unsaved data to be lost. This has happened several times and is incredibly frustrating at best. Anyone have any ideas for fixes for these issues?
As far as I can see, the D510 is not supported which is rather odd given it is one of the newer Disto's. Not impressed.
To get decimal feet to display. First set disto D330I to meters then back to decimal ft. This seems to be required each time I run a job on it.
No successful connection between these two devices. No device comes up in scan. Suggest you update your description with which model variations are compatible rather than the broad term of Samsung Galaxy S3. The Disto D510 was purchased so I could use it with my phone. Does work with Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014.
Works perfectly on the Samsung galaxy 2 running icecream 4.1. Saves time and errors handwriting data from disto. So easy to transfer excel file to pc. Would be nice to see an update so it works on the galaxy S4.
good help at work
Now that Android 4.3 support Bluetooth Smart, an update would be appropriate at this point.

On nexus 4 even when paired to Disto 330i, transfer still can't connect to device.
Great app. Would like to know if both distance and angle can be transferred from D8. Measurement command button on results spreadsheet would be most handy
SG Note 2. Disto D8. Huge improvement after latest update! This is how tech should work. Some usability request would be: remote triggering from android device should be a two step process, as when measuring normally (allows for accurate targetting). Also, during remote use, it would be great to have the ON/DIST button on the android device permanently on screen, rather than have to access the menu for each measurement. Great work devs! Keep the updates coming!
I like this
app works, but my HTC Thunderbolt will not recognise me Leica Distro D330i. My Nexus 7 works fine with app & laser.
Running Android 2.1 with D3aBT Puts data into transfer programme but you can change the settings to send data to clipboard then data can be pasted in to selected fields. Cumbersome but has worked on all apps I have tried so far. The Disto Transfer settings has an option listed to copy data to current focus but the option won't enable.
This app adds some nice and handy uses for my work! Thumb up! (using a HTC legend and a d8)
I have set this up. took a reset to connect to Disto D8. The transfer program worked much better in Windows Mobile 6.5 - would put measurement into any text field in any program. For android it only seems to put it into the transfer program, then you can't move it anywhere. I don't have excel installed to check that.
running Android on my HTC HD2 and hooked up with a Disto D3a BT. The only thing is the option to copy data to current focus won't enable.

I have the App on a Samsung S7 as well as several other devices all work but struggle with the limitations compared to the windows version where I can link directly to a .xlsx workbook noting the Android 2017 version still will only open a .xls versions of the workbook (office 2007). The possibilities are tremendous, I would like to see a greater effort put into improving the Android and IOS apps as we have been testing for 2.5 years waiting for the app to come up to the task it was designed. We run five disto 510 devices and are in the joinery business.
