Corkz - Wine Info App -Reviews for Android
So incredibly slow. Seems to take ages to load even just a list of the wines in "my cellar." Simple features, such as rating a wine that you drink at a restaurant, are either not in the app or are so difficult to find that I have not found them. User interface feels opaque. I hope something simpler to use is out there.
Complete and simple interfase with my cellar
This has had some issues over the years but the latest release has improved it a lot. There are a few issues still but I can forgive those. This is a much better app than the cellartracker one.
Good wine searcher app!
Loses wines, fails to remove wines that have been drunk, crashes, basically sucks in multiple ways and is too unreliable to be useful. Now that cellar tracker has their own app there's no longer a need to suffer this bugfest.
App will stop miduse. Once wines are entered, cannot delete a wine, nor move more than one bottle to a new location. Cannot add wines that are not in the system such as homemade or small vineyards.
I had this app on my iPhone and loved it. Switched to a Samsung and downloaded the android version. I am disappointed with this version because it does not have the price of the bottle in this app as it did on the iphone version so that I can compare it to the price in the store. If cellar tracker and reviews is all that it gives me then I might just as well the cellart racker app which is free.
Don't waist your money. I downloaded Corkz to be able to track prices or values of wines that we were auctioning as a fundraiser, because it claims to do that. Not only did it not give me prices or values of wines that had been turned in to me, it also couldn't give me prices of wine that I was scanning on shelves in stores, just to see if it worked at all. Total rip off!
The app used to be a little flaky, but it seems to have been resolved recently. There are all kinds of storage, indexing, and cellaring info, plus it taps into the Cellar Tracker database. I easily recommend this app to anyone with a small wine collection.
Came back to this app only to find it continually FCing. Very disappointed with the way it is functioning.
Cellar tracker is a must application to have if you own a cellar
Used to be so good
Used to be the best way to access cellartracker but now they have their own app this is surplus to requirements.
Loses wines, fails to remove wines that have been drunk, crashes, basically sucks in multiple ways and is too unreliable to be useful. Now that cellar tracker has their own app there's no longer a need to suffer this bugfest.
Tried saving multiple wines. Tried reinstalling. It shows the purchase info when I look up the wine again so the info has been added. But I keep showing 0 bottles in my cellar. So the app is pretty much useless.
Perfect tool for managing my personal wine collection.
Been a user for five years like good wine this app gets better.
Very handy app.
Some vintages don't show up and some UPC not read but overall good. Some community ratings are not very discerning.
Easy to use and track wines
This app had improved a lot, but recently all of a sudden I can't read my or others' tasting notes, and my private notes are too long, so I have to go enter them directly through cellar tracker. Makes the app near useless for me, so I'm switching to cellertracker. HTC one m8.
After initially rating this one star I have upped it to 4, search now works and spent the last 10 mins running it through its paces, well done at last. Latest release removed the vintage from a few views and I can't see any tasting notes waiting for fixes so dropped the rating again.
Difficult to use.
I have been using this site and application for years on my iphone. The Android experience is terrible. Not tablet support and put formatting.
Good little interface, on my mobile (Samsung S4 Mini) I use this app more than Cellartracker app. Why, the my xellar drink soon tab, incredibly helpful. One point though on this functiin, the bottle vintage is now removed, would be great to see it back. And GPS, why do you need my location?!
This app has improved a lot, and I still prefer it over cellar tracker's app. I am still unsure why it uses my GPS, and recently all of a sudden my private consumption notes are too long, so I have to go enter them directly through cellar tracker, which is annoying. HTC one m8.
Glad to see that Corkz is getting a lot better. Keep the updates coming!
A must have for any wine enthusiast and novice alike. Easy to use and browse the enormous collection with useful filters.
Search is broken. Does not handle screen flips to the side on Samsung tab 10.1 (only portrait) going landscape caused the application to crash. Unable to scan bottles since Tab camera works on the landscape side only when scanning.
Good intent of features, but somewhat quirky controls. Apparently can only manual search from home. Barcode scanner needs major work - very difficult to get readings (curved bottle?), and UPC database is severely lacking. I'm assuming the majority of unreturned scan matches are do to incorrect scan. Text recognition of UPC possible? How about allowing user to add to database for UPC that aren't found? The UPC number could be manually verified to prevent duplication due to error scans. Again, good start.
Should NOT constantly keep GPS lock. What's the point?
A must-have for anyone using Cellartracker. It's actually more user friendly.
Unable to search on Android version
Constantly connecting for every little tiny thing, personal list never kept offline, unable to use if you don't have service. Cellar jnfo takes forever to update after deletion or addition. No app2sd for a 10mb app... Asus transformer & nexus s 4G. Would take a free version with ads, not worth the money, yet.
Takes forever to load, and product lookups and other searches are also slow. I think it's just scraping the CT website, which itself can be slow. This would be 5-star app if not for the performance issues. Bar-Code scanning works pretty well and is more convenient than typing when in the store.
This of a great idea. Ratings on done, cellar, etc. this would be 5 stars if; 1) show a professional index or something standardized on addition to community ratings. Out throws things off aachen people attribute an 80 to an excellent wine. I don't think some people know how bad an 80 is. 2) searches sometimes seem to lock up and you can wait for 10 minutes and not get a result. Not good for patience or battery.
Installed update. Force closes when I try to scan. Tech support claims it might be my phone. Other scanner apps work just fine.
Crash crash crash. Only couple times at first now every time. Can't load or setup cellar. Don't make this a waste of money.
Landscape support for the keyboard would be a good feature, but is not a deal breaker. For those of you having trouble with scanning, you have to download the "barcode scanner" app. Search for it in the market or go to cor.kz website and search the help desk.

Used to be a great app, but now the keyboard never shows up when I wamt to search my cellar. Very frustrating.
