Solves the annoying problem I've had with mu HTC Desire Z(AKA G2) over the years. Would be nice if it also turned the backlight off when screen off, and not only when the keyboard is slided in. But it's not too much of a problem for me since I very rarely leave it lying around with the keyboard out.
