저는 주일과 평일을, 교회와 가정을 분리하고 싶지 않습니다.
2.보수지만 젊은 목회, 편안한 교회
보수 속에서 진보를 발견하고 진보 속에서 철저한 보수를 찾는 목회를 지향합니다.

1970년대 중동건설 붐으로, 많은 한국인들이 쿠웨이트에 들어왔고, 각 건설현장의 현장교회에 모여 예배를 드 렸으나, 건설현장들이 철수하고 현장교회가 줄어듦에 따라, 쿠웨이트에 상존하는 한인교회의 필요로, 건설 현장과 교민들이 모여 1980년 9월 26일, 초교파적인 쿠웨이트한인연합교회를 세웠습니다.
쿠웨이트는 다른 중동의 회교국가와는 달리 제한적이기는 하지만, 종교의 자유가 쿠웨이트 법으로 보장되어 있으며, 개신교인 경우 National Evangelical Church of Kuwait(NECK)라는 이름의 교회를 정부가 승인하고 있습니다. 쿠웨이트한인연합교회는 NECK의 유일한 Korean Congregation으로 NECK Compound내에서 예배를 드리고 있습니다.
쿠웨이트한인연합교회는 쿠웨이트에 상주하고 있는 교민, 건설사/상사 주재원 및 유학생들이 쿠웨이트를 편한 마음으로 배울 수 있도록 뒷받침하고 있으며 "다양성 속의 일치"의 정신아래 교민과 함께 사역하는 것을 중요 하게 여기고 있는 새 시대의 새 교회입니다.
연합한다는 것은 생각보다 쉽지 않습니다. 서로의 차이를 존중하면서 한 마음 한 뜻을 가진 다는 것은 비움의 자세가 아니면 이를 수 없습니다. "여러분 안에 이 마음을 품으십시오"(빌2:5)로 시작되는 말씀이 연합교회의 자기 비움, 겸손, 순종, 그리고 일치를 이루어 가는 기둥이 됩니다.
우리 쿠웨이트한인연합교회는 지난 30년의 세월 속에서 이 지역에 주님의 큰 뜻을 이루어는 씨앗의 역할을 담당했습니다. 이제는 더욱 다양해진 서로의 신앙과 생각의 차이를 더욱 성숙해진 청년의 모습으로 포용하는 교회로 성장했습니다. 쿠웨이트는 그리 크지 않습니다. 그러나 믿음의 일꾼들이 만들어 가는 하나님 나라는 웅대합니다. 쿠웨이트한인교회는 지난 30년간의 역사와 더불어 하나님 나라를 만들어 가는 소중한 사명을 감당 하고 있습니다.
작지만 큰 뜻을 이루어가는 교회요, 다르지만 주 그리스도 안에서 하나가 되는 것을 소중히 여기는 교회입니다.
우리 교회는 "예수님만 자랑하는 교회, 사랑하며 순종하는 교회, 사명으로 선교하는 교회“ 이 세 가지 표어를 목표로 예배하는 공동체, 선교하는 공동체, 교제하는 공동체가 되고자 합니다.
