포항양학교회가 소망하는 교회의 모습은 강한 교회 입니다. 이것은 사도바울이 이야기한 로마서에
잘 나타나 있습니다.

믿음이 강한 우리는 마땅히 믿음이 약한 자의 약점을 담당하고
자기를 기쁘게 하지 아니할 것이라(롬15:1)

이 말씀처럼 우리의 강함은 약함을 보듬고 채우는 사역이 될 것입니다.
강한 교회는 교회의 크기를 의미하지 않습니다. 그것은 교회의 본질적인 사역이 진행되는 교회를
의미 합니다. 따라서 교회는 5중 사역이 끊임없이 지속되어야 합니다.
교회의 5중 사역은 다음과 같습니다.

1. 예배공동체 : 영적인 예배가 드려지는 예배공동체가 되어야 합니다.
2. 교육공동체 : 현존하는 미래인 우리의 아이들과 성인들을 교육하는 교육공동체가 되어야 합니다.
3. 선교공동체 : 주님이 주신 사명인 복음을 전하는 교회가 되어야 합니다.
국내외 해외와 군에 복음이 전파되도록 힘쓰는 선교공동체입니다.
4. 섬김의공동체 : 지역에 소외된 이웃들을 위해 필요를 채우는(푸드뱅크, 장학사업) 그리고
문화로 섬기는 문화사역을 통해 지역을 섬겨 나갈 것입니다.
5. 교제공동체 : 성도가 행복한 교회가 되어야 합니다. 하나님과 화목하듯이 사람과 사귐이있는
온전한 교제공동체가 되어야 하겠습니다.

이러한 사역이 가능할 수 있도록 말씀과 기도로 든든히 무장하고 영적전쟁에서 승리하는 교회여야 합니다.
오늘 시대에는 더더욱 말씀과 기도로 서야하는 시대가 되었습니다. 이 같은 사명을 잘 감당하기 위해 오늘도
우리는 한 걸음 한 걸음 주께로 더 가까이 나아갈 것입니다. 하나님이 찾으시는 교회다운 교회가 세워지는데
여러분의 동역을 소망합니다. 하나님의 평강이 여러분과 여러분의 가정에 함께 하시길 소망합니다.
