하나님께서는 태초에 천지를 창조하실 때부터 이 세상을 하나님을 사랑하는 사람들로 가득 채우기를 원하셨습니다.
그래서 사람을 당신의 형상대로 창조하시고 "생육하고 번성하여 땅에 충만하라"고 축복하셨는데 세상은 하나님을 사랑하는 사람들이 아니라 하나님을 사랑하지 않는 사람들로 가득차게 되었습니다. 그 결과 노아때에 하나님을 사랑하지 않는 사람들은 다 멸망되었습니다.

그후 하나님께서 아브라함을 선택하시고 그에게 말씀하시기를 "땅의모든 족속이 너를 인하여 복을 얻응ㄹ 것이니라"고 하셨습니다.
하나님께서 이 땅에 하나님을 사랑하는 사람들로 가득 채우시기 원하셨다는 것을 다시 엿볼 수 있는 내용입니다.

오늘날도 하나님께서는 이 땅에 하나님을 사랑하는 사람들이 가득하기를 원하십니다. 예수님께서도 같은 이유로 "너희는 만민에게 복음을 전파하라." "너희는 가서 모든 족속으로 제자를 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의이름으로 세계를 주고 내가 너희에게 분부한 모든것을 가르쳐 지키게하라. "오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능응ㄹ 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내증인이 되리라"고 말씀하셨습니다.

그래서 저도, 우리교회도, 복음 전파하는 일을 합니다.
