신정교회는 1983년도에 용인시 구성면 중리에 세워진 시골 교회였습니다. 20여 년 동안 시골 교회로 가난한 영혼들과 함께 한 교회였습니다. 신정교회는 이름도 없이 빛도 없이 가난한 심정으로 한 사람의 영혼을 천하보다 귀히 여기는 심정으로 사역해 왔습니다.
신도시가 개발되기 전 이곳은 동백리와 중리 두개 마을이 어정초등학교를 중심으로 3,40호씩 산자락마다 옹기종기 모여 있는 시골마을이었습니다. 총각 전도사로 이곳에 와서 자전거를 타고 이 마을, 저 마을, 이집, 저집 다니며 전도하던 때가 어제와 같습니다.
이제 신도시로 개발되어 많은 교회가 세워졌고 많은 사람이 모여 사는 곳이 되었지만 처음 이곳에 교회를 개척할 때의 초심을 잃지 않고 가난하고 순전한 마음으로 교회의 사명을 감당하고자 합니다.
처음 사랑으로 한 영혼을 천하보다 귀히 여기는 교회가 되기를 소원합니다. 물량주위와 성장주의에 빠져 교회의 순수성을 잃어버리지 않도록 하겠습니다.
거룩한 회심과 경건한 삶이 있는 참교회의 사명을 감당하기를 소원합니다. 개혁주의의 바른 진리를 파수하며 성령의 뜨거운 감동으로 복음을 선포하는 참교회의 사명을 감당하기를 소망합니다.
사랑의 공동체로 예수 그리스도의 사랑의 향기가 더욱 넘치는 교회가 되기를 소망합니다.
