신기중앙교회는 1968년 10월 28일, 故김종만목사와 8명의 성도들이 개척한 이래 성장과 시련기를 보내고, 38년째를 맞아 現이희우목사가 5대 담임목사로 부임(2005년 6월 12일)하여 새로운 도약의 기회를 맞았습니다.
이제 이희우목사를 정점으로 변덕스런 바다 가운데 묵묵히 자리잡고 있는 바위같은 장로, 권사들을 비롯한 제직들이 변화무쌍한 구름이 덮이고 폭풍이 몰아치고 뜨거운 태양이 내리쬐어도, 차가운 눈보라가 몰아치고 살을 에는 듯한 한파가 몰려와도 흔들림 없이 말씀과 기도운동을 통해 「성경이 이끄는 건강한 교회, 행복한 성도」공동체를 만들어 가고 있습니다.
