요즘 세상은 “힘들다 힘들다” 하면서 점점 더 힘들어 합니다. 그러나 우리는 힘들수록 하나님을 더 찾습니다. 은혜를 더 구합니다. 그러면 하나님께서 우리로 하여금 힘든 일들을 극복할 수 있게 해 주십니다. 우리의 삶을 고단하게 만드는 모든 염려와 두려움을 이겨낼 수 있게 해 주십니다.

하나님께서 함께 하심으로 누리는 기쁨이란, 다름 아닌 구원의 기쁨입니다. 구원 받지 못한 채로 열심히 사는 것은 헛된 삶입니다. 하나님 나라에 들어간다는 보장이 없이, 내 꿈이 성취된다 한들 무슨 의미가 있겠습니까?

남가주기쁨의교회는 세상이 줄 수 없는, 하늘의 참 기쁨을 누리는 교회를 꿈꿉니다. 그리고, 그 기쁨을 세상에 전해 주는 교회가 되기를 추구합니다.

교회비전
하나님께서 저희 남가주기쁨의교회에 주신 비전은 크게 두 가지입니다.
첫째는, 하나님의 은혜를 세상에 흘려보내는 교회가 되는 것입니다.
둘째는, 세상을 살리는 인재를 양성하는 교회가 되는 것입니다.
이 두 가지 비전을 이루기 위해, 저희 교회는 아래의 다섯가지 공동체를 꿈꾸며 함께 달려갑니다.

1. 예배공동체
예배에 성공해야 인생에 성공합니다.
일상생활에 있어서 예배드리는 시간을 최우선순위에 둡니다.
삶의 모든 시간이 곧 예배가 되도록 몸과 마음과 전 존재를 하나님께 드립니다.

2. 교육공동체
말씀을 배우고 확신한 일에 거하는 것을 추구합니다.
남가주기쁨의교회에는 ‘졸업’이 없습니다.
생명이 있을 동안에는 계속해서 말씀을 배웁니다.
이민 1세대가 차세대의 신앙 교육을 위해 최선의 투자를 합니다.
믿음의 유산이 최고의 유산이기 때문입니다.

3. 선교공동체
선교현장으로 나가는 선교사들이 있고, 보내는 선교사들이 있습니다.
모두가 선교사입니다.
우리 교회 성도 중에서 선교사를 단독 파송하는 것을 목표로 합니다.
모든 열방을 품고 기도하며 복음들고 나아가되 북한을 포함한 북방선교를 지향합니다.

4. 섬김공동체
하나님께서 공급해 주시는 힘으로 감당합니다.
이름도 없이 빛도 없이 숨은 곳에서 봉사합니다.
받은 은혜가 너무나 감사해서 기쁨과 즐거움으로 자원하는 마음으로 섬깁니다.
서로 서로 격려하고 위로합니다.
주님의 칭찬과 상급을 기대합니다.
자원하는 심령으로 섬깁니다.

5. 교제공동체
우리는 예수 그리스도께서 교회의 머리되심을 고백하는 지체들입니다.
서로가 서로를 존중하고 돌봅니다.
말씀 속에서 사랑의 사귐을 나눕니다.
셀 코이노니아와 셀 가정 예배로 한 달에 두 번씩 셀 모임을 갖습니다.
모든 허물이 덮어지는 곳이 바로 남가주기쁨의교회입니다.

Vision Church
Vision given by God to the Church of Our Joy Southern California are two significant.
First, the Church is to be the flowing grace of God to the world.
Second, the church will be to train the personnel of saving the world.
To achieve these two visions, dreaming of our church goes up with the five community below.

1. Community service
Must succeed in worship will succeed in life.
