옥천교회 4대 기본이념
1. 예배하는 교회
예배는 신앙생활의 중심이며, 하나님과의 만남의 장입니다. 성도는 예배를 통해 전지전능하신 하나님을 만납니다. 예배는 하나님께 최상의 가치를 드리는 것입니다.
그러기에 우리 옥천교회의 예배는 하나님을 바르게 공경하며 경배와 찬양, 감사의 고백과 생명의 헌신으로 값없이 주신 하나님의 은혜 응답하고자 신령과 진정으로 예배를 드리며 은혜와 사랑을 경험하고 말씀을 통하여 하나님의 함께 하심을 체험합니다.

2. 봉사하는 교회
옥천교회는 ‘네 이웃을 네 몸과 같이 사랑하라’고 하신 주님의 명령을 따라 사랑과 섬김으로 지역사회의 발전과 주민에 봉사하기 위하여 충실하게 준비되어 있습니다.

3. 선교하는 교회
선교는 예수 그리스도께서 명령하신 지상과제이며 교회의 본질입니다.
‘땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인되라’하신 주님은 “가서 제자 삼으로”고 하셨습니다.
이에 우리 옥천교회는 작게는 산간오지 기도처로부터, 국내 교회 개척과 러시아, 중국, 카자흐스탄, 태국, 캄보디아, 필리핀까지 널리 선교에 힘쓰고 있습니다.

4. 친교와 찬양이 넘쳐나는 교회
아름다운 소리로 하나님께 영광을 돌리고 있으며 최상의 예배를 위해 영감 있는 찬양을 준비하는 일에 열심을 다하고 있습니다.
전교인 체육대회와 각 부서 야유회를 통해 친교를 이루고 다양한 성가대 활동을 통해 하나님을 찬양하는 교회입니다.

5. 비젼을 선포하고 문화를 선도하는 교회
미래를 향하여 열린교회, 크리스챤문화를 선양하며 젊은이들을 품는 교회로 최선을 다할 것입니다. 매월 첫주는 청소년과 함께하는 장년예배로 공동에 의식을 갖게하며 매주 4부예배는 영어로 예배를 드림으로 글로벌교회 체제를 구축하고자 합니다.

6. 재능나눔을 실천하는 교회
다양한 재능을 은사로 받은 성도들로 하여금 문화교실을 운영하게 하며 교회를 중심으로 바람직한 여가를 선용하는 방안을 모색한다. 특히, 소외된자들(노인, 소년소녀가장, 다문화가정....)을 위한 프로그램을 활성화 하도록 노력한다.
