그 동안 우리 북녘어린이사랑은 많은 정치적,이념적 요소를 극복하고 지금까지 좋은 결실을 보고 있습니다.
우리는 정치,종교, 이념을 초월하고, 오직 인류애 정신에 입각하여 배고픈 아이들을 돕고 있습니다.

우리들도 배고픈 어린 시절이 있었습니다.
전후 세대에 태어난 우리들은 참으로 가난하고 배고팠습니다.
그때는 국내에 먹을 것이 너무 부족하여 선진국에서 가져온 밀가루로 학교 점심시간에 빵을 만들어 먹고 공부를 했습니다.
배고픈 어린 시절 그것이 그토록 맛이 있었고 지금도 생각하면 그것이 얼마나 감사한지 모르겠습니다. 마찬가지로 우리가 주는 빵을 먹은
그 곳의 어린이들도 성장하였을 때 우리에 대하여 얼마나 감사한 마음을 가지겠습니까?

통계에 의하면, 전세계의 어린이 약 2억 명이 노동에 시달리고 있고, 약 3억 명의 어린이가 배고픔에 시달리다
영양부족으로 또한 각종 질병으로 죽어가고 있다고 합니다. 이와 같은 상황에서 OECD 국가인 한국이 어찌 앉아서
굶주림에 직면한 아이들을 바라만 보고 있을 수 있겠습니까?
이제는 한국의 부자들, 부자 회사들이 지갑을 좀 열어서 절대적으로 그들을 좀 도와야 된다고 생각합니다.
