진도중앙교회는 대한 예수교 장로회 합동 측 교회로 일제시대 민족의 자유와 독립을 염원하던 1919년 3월 1일에 태동한 역사적인 교회이며 1950년 6.25당시에 공산당에 의해 목회자와 성도들이 숨진 순교의 피가 흐르는 교회입니다. 지난 100여년이 가까운 세월동안 진도중앙교회는 진도에 깊이 뿌리를 내리며 진도의 영적인 파수꾼 역할을 감당해왔고 지금도 지역사회를 사랑하며 진도의 복음화에 힘쓰고 있습니다.
