1989년 9월 3일 위성교 목사님 가정과 한 가정이 모여 Union City에 위치한 Hillview 침례교회에서 예배를 드림으로 개척되었습니다.
뉴라이프교회의 창립정신은
성경에 기초한 하나님께 대한 올바른 믿음을 심어(믿음을 심는 교회),
이민 가정의 삶에 활력과 용기를 주고(소망을 주는 교회),
성도 간에 그리스도의 사랑으로 돌보며(사랑이 넘치는 교회),
복음을 전파하는 데 있습니다.
이 정신을 실천하기 위해서 뉴라이프교회는 창립 후 지금까지 성령 충만하고 생동감 있는 예배를 드리기 위해 힘써 왔습니다.
창립 1년 후에 창단된 카리스마찬양팀은 매주 금요일마다 찬양을 드리고 있으며, 주일 오후 찬양 인도를 2006년까지 계속하여
왔습니다. 뿐만 아니라 '증인들의 고백' 2회, 매년 '경배와 찬양집회', 2007년 'Bay를 위한 24시간 찬양집회'등을 주관하며 베이지역의
영적부흥을 리드하는 찬양팀으로 섬기고 있습니다.
뉴라이프교회는 위성교 목사님의 능력있는 말씀선포를 통해서,
하나님의 백성들이 이 시대에 어떻게 살아갈 것인가 큰 은혜를 받으며 도전과 변화를 일으키고 있습니다.
뉴라이프교회는 창립 이후 매일 드려지는 새벽기도회를 통해 하루하루 영적 충전을 받으며 승리의 삶을 살아가고 있습니다.
특별히 '호렙산 특별새벽집회'는 밀도 있게 드려지는 새벽기도회로서 어린 아이로부터, 노년, 이웃 사람들에게 까지 영적 각성을
일으키고 있습니다.
2007년 연말과 2008년 연 초에는 '야베스 새벽집회'를 5주간 드려졌으며 이 기도회를 통하여 영과 육이 함께 치유되는 축복의 문을
열고 있습니다.
뉴라이프교회는, 창립 이후 5번의 이사를 하였습니다.
그 후 1998년 3월 29일 Union City 북가주제일침례교회 건물과 부지를 매입하여 헌당예배를 드렸고 많은 성장을 이루었습니다.
하나님의 놀라우신 섭리와 은혜 가운데 Fremont City에 지난 2년간 새 땅, 새 성전 사역의 결실이 이루어졌습니다.
뉴라이프교회(New Life Church of SF)라는 이름으로 비전, 열정, 소망을 가지고 시작된 이 역사의 물줄기는
2006년 10월 1일 착공예배, 2007년 9월 입당예배, 2007년 10월 14일 헌당예배를 드리며 현재에까지 흐르고 있습니다.

선교하는 교회로서 뉴라이프교회는 침례교단에 협동선교헌금을 보내는 일을 계속 하였으며, 한국 농어촌 미자립교회 25곳,
장애자 단체 7곳, 협력 선교 18곳, 중국과 북한 선교 7곳, 장학 선교 7곳, 지역 선교 3곳을 주의 은혜로 감당하고 있습니다.
1998년 8월 8일에는 박기홍 목사님을 멕시코로 파송하였으며, 남전도회는 매년 멕시코 단기선교를 통하며 '사랑의 집 짓기'를
계속하고 있습니다. 더 나아가 지역 선교를 위해서 구역별 목장을 편성하여 2주 단위로 교제와 선교에 최선을 다하고 있습니다.
