동성교회(합신)

요즘 한국교회를 바라보는 세상 사람들이 가진 생각은 기대보다 우려의 모습이 크다는 것을 알 것입니다. 세상이 교회에 대해서 손가락질을 합니다. 우리는 교회가 세상의 빛이요 소금이라고 말하는데 세상은 그렇게 인정하지 않고 있습니다. 우리는 세상의 희망이라고 말하는데 오히려 걱정과 염려의 대상이 되고 있습니다.

영적으로도 사단이 그저 제철을 만난 듯 미친 듯이 날뛰고 있습니다. 이곳 저곳에서 이단과 우상들이 판을 치고 있고, 어떻게 하든지 하나님과 멀어지게 하려는 영적 어두움이 우리를 덮으려하고 있습니다.

이럴 때 우리는 세상 앞에 설 우리의 기본과 본질에 바로 서서 준비하고 복음만이 세상을 바꿀 수 있다는 확신을 가지고 살아야 할 것입니다. 그래서 가장 놓치기 쉬운 것들을 돌아 보아야 할 것입니다. 먼저, 내 신앙이 성장하고 있는지, 그리고 하나님을 사랑하고 이웃을 사랑하는 성숙함이 묻어 있는지, 더 나아가 어떤 열매가 나에게 맺히기를 원하는지에 대한 분명한 점검을 해야 할 것입니다.

그 결과 우리 동성교회를 통하여 따뜻한 주의 사랑이 지역사회에 나누어지고, 온 열방에 그리스도의 빛으로 전해지기를 원합니다. 본질인 성경말씀과 이것을 적용하는 우리의 삶의 열매가 온 땅에 퍼져 나가는 한 해가 되기를 소망합니다. 새로운 희망을 품고 독수리처럼 힘차게 날아오르는 복된 한 해가 되시기를 주의 이름으로 축복합니다.
