동해교회

동해교회는 동해시 복음화를 위해 1941년에 설립되었으며, 우리나라 장로교의 장자 교단인 대한예수교장로회 통합측 강원동노회에 소속되어 있으며, 같은 말, 같은 마음, 같은 뜻, 같은 비전으로 같은 열매를 맺는 건강한 교회입니다.

1. 두날개로 날아오르는 사도행전적인 교회
동해교회는 하나님이 디자인하신 사도행전의 교회처럼 지역과 민족과 세계복음화의 비전을 품은 두날개를 가진 교회입니다. 두날개란 말씀과 기도, 대그룹과 소그릅, 전도와 양육이 균형을 이루어 독수리처럼 힘차게 날아오른다는 의미를 가지고 있습니다. 우리 교회는 주님께서 12명의 제자를 훈련시켜 세계복음화를 이루었듯이, 모든 성도가 주님의 제자가 되어 또 다른 사람들을 계속해서 세워나가는 두날개 비전으로 지역과 민족과 세계복음화를 이루기 위해 달려 나가고 있습니다.

2. 축제와 같은 감동적인 예배가 있는 교회
동해교회의 예배는 축제가 있고 감동과 위로와 회복과 치유가 있습니다. 우리는 예배를 통해 하나님의 임재를 경험하며 세상을 이길 수 있는 새 힘을 얻습니다. 그래서 예배는 우리의 신앙과 인생의 성패를 좌우합니다.

3. 양육과 훈련, 그리고 섬김이 있는 교회
동해교회는 주님의 지상명령을 따라 모든 성도들을 그리스도의 제자로 세워나가기 위해 힘쓰고 있습니다. 또한 우리의 불우한 이웃을 섬기기 위해 소년소녀가장 및 장애인가정 후원, 빈곤가정 후원, 사랑의 쌀 나눔, 경로잔치, 보훈가족위로회 등의 다양한 봉사활동을 하고 있습니다.
4. 선교적 사명으로 동해시를 사랑하는 교회
동해교회는 우리 지역을 거룩한 도시, 축복과 영광의 도시로 만들고자 하는 비전을 가지고 영혼을 구원하는 일에 진력하고 있습니다. 우리 도시는 하나님의 축복으로 인하여 살고 싶은 도시, 꼭 한번 와 보고 싶은 곳이 될 것입니다.

5. 사랑의 교제가 있는 한 가족 같은 교회
동해교회는 그리스도 안에서 한 가족이 되어 서로 사랑을 나누고 돌보며 세워줍니다. 각종 소그룹 모임은 육신의 가족보다 더 친밀한 교제와 돌봄과 사랑이 있습니다. 모든 성도가 한 가족이 될 때 세상을 넉넉히 이길 수 있습니다.
