Kewlio Club

The Kewlio Club provides a way to notify potential customers of Today's Offers and for customers to rate these offers, drawing more business to honest vendors and away from dodgy dealers. It's a social community where daily messages offer fresh opportunities to local customers who give objective feedback encouraging others to take advantage of great deals.

How does it work?

Using the GPS on Android phones businesses target customers who are within 5 miles of their site and offer time targeted deals, lasting for 3,6,12 or 18 hours.
As a business, during a quiet period, you may wish to offer a deal which only lasts for a few hours as a temporary boost to customer numbers or to update customers as an all day event progresses. You may have a daily special or wish to remind customers of your current discounts in each case a different time frame is more appropriate.

When a business registers with the Kewlio Club, its location is recorded through the app. This can be changed, if you registered in the wrong location or if you run a mobile business. The location can only be changed when there are no live deals.
When the customer opens the app they are presented with a list of current offers, grouped by category. These are sorted by closest to farthest and the dodgy deals are positioned way down at the bottom or removed all together by numerous 'dodgy' customer ratings. If there are no current offers in a category a list of registered vendors is displayed sorted in the same way.

Navigation and Maps

Customers can select the map view to show the location of all the current deals from a category and if the business has entered a web address, double click the map marker to view more information such as pricelists, menus... etc.
When a customer selects an offer from the list the full details are displayed and this is where the customer can rate the message/deal. There is also a single map option on the details page which opens the phone's navigation app to take the customer to the venue.

What's the format?

Business create messages (offers/deals) through the app, comprising a photo or an image or logo already on their phone, a short description and the period for which it is available. These can be edited, if there is a mistake and the messages can, of course, be deleted. Dodgy dealers dodgy dealings will be recorded even if messages are deleted and persistent abuse will result in the suspension of their account.

Businesses are limited to three live messages and customers to 10 current ratings. Customers can only rate a message once and businesses can't rate their own... there's always around these things, but that's tech for you.

Can performance be monitored?

Once the offer has expired the business will be able to see user stats (excluding owner activity). The performance page will show, for the last month, the number of daily message, total hits, average hits per message and average customer rating by day. Monthly cumulative stats are also viewable as a separate report. The system calculates the business's overall customer rating, weighted by recent feedback.

FAQ

Any business big or small can register. They must provide Contact Name, Business Name, eMail address and select a business category. Website address is optional, but advised to provide additional information to potential customers.

Organisers of a single event can register as a message publisher by providing the same contact information.

Email addresses are used as the ID/Login. Once registered the password and verification mail is sent the the email address used while registering.

Anyone can access the deals. The app reads your phones's unique ID and uses this information to provide some identity to ratings.
