About Grade Possibilities

Pull out your Android whenever you get a graded assignment back and let the app calculate the lowest grade you need on EACH remaining assignment to reach your target score!

So let's say you didn't do that great on your last exam. You know from your syllabus that you have two exams, three quizzes, and five homework assignments left. The problem is that exams are worth 70% of your grade, quizzes are worth 20%, and homework is worth 10%. Can you still make that A at the end of the semester?

I have created this little calculator in hopes that it will be useful for students like me. This app will ALWAYS be free and I strongly value any community input in improving it. If you would like to see features, have trouble, or have anything at all to say about this, please provide feedback... I'll listen!

Features:

- Grade tracker: Saves multiple classes.
- Supports weighted average calculation.
- Supports classes with summed point grading schemes.
- Allows grading schemes to be saved as templates. (Template files are saved to SD card and can be given to friends.)
- Templates can be edited as text files for quick corrections.

Since the update a few months ago, the app has greatly improved. Graphics and UI have been updated to be sleeker and user-friendly, and tutorials have been added for the less-intuitive aspects of the app. Would be great if a GPA calculator were implemented at some point to estimate both semester and cumulative GPA.

I've been looking like crazy for an app that can track my different grades throughout the semester. And let me tell you the apps on the andriod market leave a lot to be desired. This is the BEST I have found yet. My only complaint is that I wish I could store different semesters and also have a GPA calculator? But those aren't that necessary considering that I can look at my transcript. Overall a great grade tracker and really helpful for calculating what I need to get on assignments!

Being a college student, I've wanted to calculate my current grade at various points throughout the semester to monitor my progress. Some classes were easy, having only exams that were weighted evenly. Other classes had exams, quizzes, and homework. Attempting to calculate my grade for such a class always resulted in something wonky, and I usually didn't try more than once. This app takes all the work out of having to do such calculations yourself and throws in a bit of humor. I haven't used it very extensively, but it's a pretty straightforward and simple app, anyway, so I doubt that I'll come across problems in further use. Like a previous reviewer suggested, having the dummy text automatically selected for deletion would be nice, but I see that's already planned for a future update. I'd ask for "Neuroscience" to be added as its own class since it's its own major at my college, but since it's not a common subject at most colleges, I won't push for it. But it'd be nice. ;)

Excellent idea mate! I do, however have a few problems with the implementation. You could allow an extra box within each group so that we can set the weighting of the individual assessment piece, while still being able to keep them grouped. I have several subjects where there are heaps of different weightings for assessment pieces, and I don't want to have to fuss around with separate groups for each piece. Also, if you could work on some bugs regarding textbox selection, that would be great. I noticed that the text cursor would jump up 3 or 4 forms when selecting one to modify. Would be 5 if not for these issues! keep up the good work!
