Jota+★PRO-KEY

It says my system API is untrustworthy and that it has detected a piracy. This is one of the few things I've actually paid for and it's one of the few that I can't actually use

Bought the pro key, but periodically the app still forgets it. When I press activate pro key it confirms, but keeps showing ads after restart. Have to install reinstall the key to fix this. Annoying.

Text selection is a joke. If your cursor isn't already on the same line as the word you held touch on, it selects the wrong thing. And the text selection handles are completely broken. Doing basic stuff in this editor is horrible. This developer doesn't care about the customers at all and NEVER fixes any of the serious problems. Developer has abandoned fixing anything on this project and does not care. I hate this developer, he should give up instead of embarrassing himself.

Will you please let me turn OFF those sodding floating buttons before I fling this damned phone against the wall? By the grace of the gods PLEASE!!

Yes it's ok but installed on the new phone & no obvious way to enable the pro licence which is automatic with many apps. V annoying

Love it. Best editor I've found yet but please change it so the pro key check is built-in. We don't always have internet access and then it goes back to non-pro because it can't bind pro key. Really annoying when I paid for it and can't use the pro stuff when there is no internet connection!

Needs to be online to work, which is annoying. Bought to support jota and remove adverts.

Pro-Key is a fantastic editor. A lot of times I find myself using it instead of my laptop's editors.

Nice when it works, but too unreliable. Frequently gives me a ** "Failed to confirm Jota+ Pro-Key License" ** and gives me the unusable ad-filled version, especially if I am outside (not an internet problem - skype still connects). Always happens when I am outside / in a meeting and need to enter text. Would be a good app, but the developer's intense focus on checking and re-checking that you really really have a license harms the app's usability. An app you have paid for has to be available when you need it, not just sometimes.

I paid for this piece of junk at least a year ago, and 80% of the time I run it, it asks me if I want to TRY THE PRO FEATURES.. Even though I paid for the damn thing. Avoid.

Yes I tried to remind it that I have a pro key. Offended by the xxx ads.

Like many others before me have reported, the app often won't recognize that I paid for the key. It's frustrating, and this has been going on for a long time. Not acceptable. Note the developers will reply to this complaint with instructions on how to activate the pro-key. (a) this often doesn't work, and (b) users shouldn't have to do this more than once ever. I like the editor but because of this ongoing nonsense I cannot recommend the paid "pro" version.

Nice app. I used the free version for a couple years before finally upgrading. I have two minor feature requests. 1. If I open a file, type one character and then undo it, then close the file, jota+ prompts me that it was a changed file and asks me to save it (even though there are no changes). The free version (Jota) had the correct behavior, not asking me to save if I make a change and undo it. 2. If I close all open documents, it should leave me with a single untitled document open, rather than closing the app. (Make file->close and file->exit separate options.)

Bought pro to enable saving files using Storage Access Framework. And happy to pay as editor is very good. This app allows saving to sd cards. Good functionality. Can have many files open in tabs at once and so easy to swap between them. Love the clean and simple interface.

I didn't need the "Pro" functionality, but I bought the key to support the app even before there were ads. Now, though I bought the key, I get ads unless I REPEATEDLY reactivate the key! Out of line! And re-activation of the key should NOT require a 'Net connection!

And the green drag indicators to resize the selection don't work at all 100% NON-FUNCTIONAL. Tested on Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and LG G3. You can't drag to the left or right. Doing basic stuff in this editor is horrible. This developer doesn't care about the customers at all and NEVER fixes any of the SERIOUS PROBLEMS. Developer has abandoned this project and does not care.

ok I just read what someone else had to do to fix the issue so I now have it activated but I don't like the fact that you have to do a manual activation on the app. They have to be the only ones to do this.

This developer shows no respect to paid users. I have a pro key but still getting annoying ads. They suggest going to settings menu and manually hitting 'activate' every time before use, which is nonsense. Neither does it help anything - still getting ads. I can't focus with ads present. And the whole app is laggy, partly due to a laggy ads API. Free users: Turbo Editor and QuickEdit are better choice, and the latter offers half the price of this app to remove ads. I'm considering switching to one of them.

and Jota wouldn't let me. It said it needed this and that, it wouldn't just let me write. A pen and paper would be much better.

having Google Play Services installed... So I paid, but cannot use it anymore since I have a phone not using Google :( Please make it independent from Google PS

...Untrustworthy System API" is the error I'm getting constantly when trying to activate the Key, even though i bought it through Play Store and haven't running license cracking things or the like and for this price this is absolutely outrageous from the developer to say the license cannot be activated (tried several times complete reinstall)

Doesnt work for me. Unblock locale for those who paid for it. Or return my money.

Key is worth every cent. Had problems with my device being rooted.. But seems OK with this version

Hi. I purchased this pro key to voice my vote for the developer to PLEASE upgrade jota for us android 2.3 users so can enjoy stability. Jota 2014 has serious data loss bug, that may be fixed in new versions, but as android 2.3 is no longer supported in new jota, I am stuck. Developer, please support us! thank you.

Even though I've paid for the unlocker and the popup says"confirmed Pro key" I keep getting the ad banner. Now and then the banner doesn't show up. This would be a good app if it wasn't for this constant problem.

Had this since the beginning of my android addiction. Composing notes, letters, random text snippets. The best feature is Date & Time stamping which is taken for granted in Windows & the Palm OS. But almost nonexistent in Android. THX! to developer.

I use plain Jota b/c I don't want my text editor to have internet permissions (not that I think this dev will use them for evil). It's served me well so I wanted to give the dev some dollars.

Bought the pro key and when I open Jota I get the text that the pro version is verified. Except the "version" under preferences says trial, I don't have any of the pro features, and I still have ads.

--update 2014.12.21--Purchased ages ago, suddenly even after validating my license again and again, I am getting an error-- 'unstable system . So now I have paid and have to see your ads, and only get free features. yes deleted and reinstalled. ---- Please bring back option to insert text in place on existing open file from a share to jota action. --PLEASE ADD FTP OPTION, this is a key aspect for a code colored text editing app

I have looked high and low from one corner of the earth to the other, of course without leaving my office because you can do that these days on the Internet . I have been searching for something that truly works to a 99% degree of efficiency for trouble free voice transcription , something that would incorporate the new developments in Google Voice to Text but bring it home right to my smartphone, and this is it! I'm telling you it's amazing my phone is a whole new world, for this in all other expanded voice to text capacities beyond Jolta! It's darn close to a hundred percent accurate, talking as fast and as easy as just 'being', LOL... it's amazing. I don't make a habit of leaving reviews and I never left one like this, but I can tell you this entire message was done by this system. You can not go wrong - get it you won't be sorry

Best text editor I've used on android, and entirely what I was wanting from one; connection to dropbox, easy to use, every feature I require without being overly bloated. Well worth the price of the key.

This is the best text editor I've found so I bought the pro-key to support the developers but lately I've seen ads where I haven't before. This makes me really sad, they're obtrusive on my phone & obscures my file. Not cool.

This is online text editor does not work without the Internet. Bought the app, the app after a few days without the Internet does not work, now is not started if the phone settings chosen not English. Author whether this Japanese made hara-kiri

Are you serious? I paid the $6 to GET RID OF the ads, not keep them around. Now I have a crappy "pro key" that I paid $6 for and nothing to show for it. Fix it.

I'm all of a sudden seeing ads in the Pro key version. Please fix

Works great on Nexus 5, 6, & 7.

1. Can't open root files outside the app 2. Can't use pro features after being offline for about 2-3 days

Used the free version for a long while so I only paid to support an excellent app. It helped me get a lot of homework started in programming when away from my laptop. Runs great on my nexus. I use this in combination with touchpal keyboard and copipe. Beats any other notepad app for speed using that combination. I save function names (etc) in touchpal user dictionary and more complicated stuff in copipe clipboard app. The hackers keyboard is just too slow. The toolbar and shortcuts in this app are enough.
