Old software for flagship stereo? I bought a brand-new Avic 8200NEX... and have a GalaxyS8. Everything works great except the Avicsync. It doesn't work at all. Go to the Pioneer avicsync site and find out avicsync only for phones running Android 4 through 6 (Kitkat, lollipop and some marshmallow). Seriously? Get with the program Pioneer! At least state the phone OS limitations on the play store then.

Can't believe that I paid as much as I did for the Pioneer stereo and it work so poorly and this app is right in step with it. App is not worth downloading and if you do, hope you have better luck getting it to connect to your in dash piece of sh!+ than I did. Have a peachy day.

Same as everyone else just get a grey screen. Currently rubbish. Come on Pioneer get your act together please and sort this out last update was only a couple of weeks ago and clearly has not worked.

FINALLY working with Android 7.0! Installed/works correctly on HTC U11. Surprised Pioneer isn't bragging about supporting 7.0 on play store change log. Painfully slow map download and hogs a bunch of space on phone. Kinda stupid map needs to be downloaded to phone though; exact same thing that's on head unit. Ah well, finally functional

I can not use it. After installation and set up I just get a gray screen with no map, just a cursor. It tells me that I have no roads around me... My car doesn't recognize it, not even an option to connect.

I Can Confirm This Works With Samsung 8+, however with the paid services such as parking, weather and traffic, traffic comes free on the pioneer NEX and parking and gas prices you can find on Android auto for free. This is old technology offered for free now days. This app i do not see useful unless you need to search for directions before entering the car. If services were cheaper and or free than maybe a 5 star! Just Maybe!! WInk WInk...

It connects to the 5201nex but the app itself won't let me go to the shop so I can add services like parking, fuel or weather.... Please make it work, I'd really like to use my deck to its full potential.

Updated headunit and still getting blank screen. Doesn't work, Google plz remove from store. Probably my last Pioneer unit Avic7000, Pioneer applications aren't that great (desktop/mobile)

I have a 8200NEX. Everything works including app on Samsung Galaxy 8+/S6 Edge/S6/S5/S4. Firmware 1.04. Also....For those just downloading this app. You will need to also download the maps Second! Make sure you have the newest firmware for your Unit or you will get errors as well. This is mandatory or you will get nothing showing on screen. Now, for starters...Who makes a navigation app without voice activation??? Not sure who even thought that was a great idea! Can you add the Mic icon to the keyboard so that one does not need to be fiddling with the keyboard typing in the address? You add this and it actually works. I will revisit my rating.

It doesn't work. Every time I get a different error or the smartphone doesn't connect to the radio AVIC-F88DAB. Please fix it, in this way it is useless.

Brought my new AVIC 980 dab and this app had a big influence on my decision, well I should have known as the highly rated pioneer app is a joke offers nothing

Worked on Samsung 8 however the new update now makes the app crash on opening. Cant use!

Wow, opens to a blank screen. Won't let me get back to home screen. Have to force quit. Doesn't work with AVIC 8200NEX

It doesn't work comes up with an error every time it's opened so uninstalled it

Since when general app like this need. Root to work. Wont work on LG phone . I expected better integration from Pioneer

PIONEER has once again disappointed me. This app and function on Android platform 7.0 or higher will not work. Especially with a Galaxy S7. Seems like they favorite IPhones. Is there a plan to upgrade this feature. Bought the nex 5200. Next time i will skip pioneer.

I purchased Pioneers flagship navigation unit (AVIC-8200NEX), and was excited to see what the integration would be like with my Nexus 6P that's running Android 7.1.1, only to find out, the app doesn't support v7.x. Please hire some competent application engineers, and get this issue resolved. I looked at the iPhone version of this app, and it has even worse reviews. I just don't get it. I should have bought the Kenwood I first considered.

Used to (not) work for the most part. Now it is completely unusable. Deletes downloaded maps that took forever to download, buggy as can be, and not reliable to be functional when you need to use it. Pioneer needs to step into 2016 or get left behind. Plenty of better options. Don't even bother downloading.

I figured out that you need to first download a map for it to work. You can spend money for a year's use, or get the free 30-day. But once the 30 days is up, I keep getting errors, even when trying to purchase the year.

How can you have an app in 2017 that is not compatible with Android 7.X?!!!! That is utter BS and lack of any technical support!!!! Pure garbage! Will change my rating when you make it compatible with 7.x

Great app. And great concept. Sometimes you need to leave the car to find a certain place. Thats whats great about the app. The phone can take over for navigation duties. Or the car from phone. Allowing more flexibility. The head unit i use is a Avic970BT and when i bought it pioneer hadn't even got this app out to the market. Then when it was released it wouldn't connect to the head unit. Needed a firmware upgrade. But once this was done. It has work great ever since. Remember to upgrade firmware

I'm glad they came out with this app. I have the 5000nex & really regretted not spending the extra $ for the 6000nex, to receive the live traffic map. Because of this app, I now have that, plus more! There's room for improvement, but I'm satisfied overall with this app. It works with no problem via Bluetooth with my Galaxy S7

My 8100nex says to connect to phone even though it is connected via Bluetooth. Between the fact that android auto only works through usb and this app taking over a year to develop for it to not work, I am kinda regretting my purchase of a pioneer head unit (I've been buying pioneer only since 2003).

I have a 5000NEX for about a year now and been very frustrating trying to connect my Galaxy s5. This app finally allows me to get traffic and weather updates after updating both devices. The only downside is I have to open the app on my phone in order for it to work. Helpful hint: Try setting your phone to Bluetooth only in settings.

It doesn't work! I updated firmware to 1.05 have attempted bluetooth and usb connection (to a Galaxy s4 with lollipop 5.0) and it simply does not connect, I have spent hours on this, it would be nice if someone from Pioneer would take a look at this issue, it's clearly not only affecting me

I have an 8100nex and this app will not sync with my deck. I have installed this app on an iPhone, s5,s6 s7 and note 5 and it does nothing. Hey pioneer how about a little feedback on this situation after I dropped almost 1500 on this deck. Thanks.

I downloaded and installed it and I didn't notice anything at all... no difference in the functionality of my navigation system at all... I will sync and all that but other that it does nothing. It would be nice if my apps and other functions of the phone would show up and work on the radio.
