I agree with the reviewers with the connectivity issues. After updating to the latest firmware version, my problems are mostly gone.

Love this app. Works better than any remote control could. Great visuals. My model is the SC-1222.

Update does not do anything but ruin a good app. My phone does not pick up my receiver anymore

Intermittently without warning simply stops working. Refuses to connect. Have to uninstall and reinstall to fix.

The first year or so...excellent. now it simply won't work.

Good when it is working , needs upgrade bad bugs disconnected and errors occurs..pioneers should fix this problem or else I will spend my big $$$$$ on others receiver come on PIONEERS FIX IT

Works great with my SC-67. Especially when controlling different zones.

Like many others, this app has huge connection stability problems. When I had a Windows phone a third party developed a clone to this program. It was MUCH BETTER than what I have with my android phone. No updates for a couple of years now, no updates to my receiver (SC-68) either. Pioneer is notorious for selling features in their hardware just to abandon it expecting you to purchase yet another one for new features. Terrible. Will likely seek another company/brand for my next update.

This exact same app is ten times better on Apple devices. Why would you guys alienate the largest smart phone market on the planet with a garbage version of the better store certain. Very disappointing app, and bad business. Upgrade the old apps that work with everything, but just put out new apps.

Used to work fine, now it says there is a problem connecting every time. Even tried to connect manually by entering the IP address but won't connect.

Works really well on my SC 1222. Only issue is Pandora stations and any other menu refreshes before I can make a selection. In addition I would like to see a quick way to get back to volume and current source Update: seems scrolling issue has been fixed

It saw the device, attempted to connect to it, but received an error message that the device was uncontrollable. Tried multiple times

Had the same issues others have had I needed to do a firmware update to the receiver it needs to be done via a USB drive get the file from pioneer unzip file to your drive load to your receiver and the app should work again hope this helps

Works great, when it works. Constantly fighting connection issues. Never updated. Pioneer makes augment product then neglects to keep it updated. Same with receivers firmware. Whet good is making it upgradeable if you never upgrade.

This app is as good as its iPad version and I can't understand those rating this app 1 and 2 stars. Its a five star app for me.

For being a high end receiver they didn't spent much time creating a good functioning app. Detecting the receiver takes way too long. Limited options. And no app updates whatsoever while I intend to use the receiver with app for a few years. If this is the Pioneer way it will certainly be the last Pioneer product I buy.

The new apps from Pioneer are not compatible with my 922 k receiver. This is supposed to be the one. But it doesn't work. What a lot of rubbish.

I have a compatible receiver, so the app should work 100% of the time, not once in a while. Keeps complaining about receiver not found most often. And when it finds it, it works, and I can navigate around and control as needed. But as others point out, it certainly needs some polishing. Any instructions from Pioneer in the description above regarding the discoverablility of the device from the app would be useful. Any required receiver settings, wifi/lan settings etc. Quite disappointed with the app actually.

Had this app for nearly two years and it's never been reliable. Literally works one day then won't work the next.

I have been attempting to use this app for close to a year, finding myself constantly juggling the alternative apps as well patiently waiting for icontrolav2012 to come right but the day has come to uninstall!! Very disappointing pioneer, i have had 6 of your receiver's with the most recent being the VSX-1122K @ $1,199aud when purchased, how about some support for existing customers

Just bought new pioneer receiver (not a cheap one either), yes BRAND NEW, the a/v receiver was produced this year (2013) and the app doesn't work for my receiver.

Paid a lot of money for a high end pioneer av reciever.... only to get a worthless app? WTF Fix the issues and make it work!

Using with a Samsung note 10.1. Turn the power to the receiver on and wait 30-45 seconds and the app links right to the receiver. I use primarily to play my music via the media server to zone 2 and works like a charm. There can be minor glitches like some library titles not showing up, but overall it does just what I need it to do. Being a 20 year vet in the AV industry if you want to have full/perfect control of your system buy an automated remote. Don't expect a free app to be the answer. I'm sure the app does a lot more than I use it for. All I care about is controlling music to zone 2 speakers in the living room and back yard. I'm giving 4 stars because of the minor glitches but overall a cool app.

Was brilliant for the first year but now nothing & nobody will make it see the amp. Just error codes all the time. Useless software now. Come on Pioneer prove you care.

Why does 2013 not work with my product? Instead I have to download 2012, when it would be so easy to maintain one app that works with multiple product versions.

Worked brilliantly on my galaxy s2. As soon as I upgrade to a note 3....boom. won't install. Very sad as I have lost access to a great app that really improved my receiver :(
